With far-reaching views over the Purbeck Hills and its proximity to the isle’s sandy beaches, this stunning 1700-dated stone property fuses coast and county for a truly tranquil break. It’s close to all the village amenities, as well as the majestic ruins of Corfe Castle itself. Part of the Jurassic Coast, the area is famed for its walking trails, which from here stretch to the coastal villages of Studland and Lulworth, and up to the hilltop villages of Kingston and Worth Matravers. Dolphins and seals can often be seen off the coast at Durlston, and there are good facilities for bird watchers at the Arne Nature Reserve. The sandy beaches at Studland and Swanage are just a short drive away.

This detached property offers light and airy accommodation throughout, with many traditional features retained, including gorgeous wooden beams and an inglenook fireplace in the lounge, which contains a wood burner. The kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, and two fridge/freezers, and you’ll find the washing machine in the adjoining utility room, which also has a cloakroom with WC. Enjoy your evening meal or a delicious breakfast in the dining room, which has a large table and chairs that comfortably seat eight, as well as a feature fireplace. Relax here on the comfortable sofas in front of the TV/DVD or perhaps while reading the latest bestseller. There’s also a snooker table for you to enjoy during your stay. From here, French doors open into a large conservatory, which offers another living area with comfortable seating and lush garden views. All four bedrooms can be found upstairs. At one end of the property is a spacious twin room with antique French beds, and a double bedroom with garden views. This is a zip-and-link king-size bed, which can be made as another twin on request. These rooms have shared use of a shower room with WC. At the opposite end of the house are two double bedrooms, both with king-size beds and garden views. One has a large en-suite shower room with WC, and the other is adjacent to a bathroom which has a shower over the bath, and a WC.

Enjoy the large enclosed garden, which includes a patio area and large lawn. Sit and take in the stunning views to the downs, or perhaps enjoy an al fresco dinner. Parking is available for three cars - one in the garage and two in the rear garden. Larger cars will need to park in a side road, a short walk from the property.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Please note there is a refundable £250 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

This is the best holiday cottage holiday we have ever had. The house was spectacular and in a beautiful location. Everything we needed was provided even games to play in the large safe garden. The property was immaculate and clean and had plenty of space for our large family. We will always remember this fantastic holiday.

A spacious, comfortable and well-equipped house with a big garden. It is ideal for 2 families of 4. We were not bothered by the proximity to the road, as we rarely heard any traffic at all from inside. Reversing the car in to the very tight garage needs some care! Comfortable, cosy, immaculately clean cottage with real attention to detail, with some beautiful Christmas touches throughout. The location was perfect with a short walk to the square and short drive to the coast. Staying here made our Christmas, one of the best, we will be back.

It's a beautiful cottage and very comfy for 8 people. Everyone had bedroom privacy. The bathrooms are lovely and we enjoyed eating in the dining room in the evening. Staying in late October the wood burner was wonderful.

Stunning location in a beautiful village. House is spacious, as are the grounds. Well equipped kitchen and bathrooms. Excellent welcome book giving useful information about the house and local services. The property is on a main road however the noise from traffic is minimal. Highly recommend this abode and location.

A very soggy week in October with my wife and parents but still had a great time thanks to Purbeck House! I bit damp to use the wealth of games available in the garden (all supplied) but the facilities in the house were excellent. Spent the evenings teaching my dad how to play snooker (although he may say it was the other way around) and the days tRead moreravelling around Purbeck. What could have been a washout was quite the opposite thanks to the space and facilities very thoughtfully provided. Hide

A clean and well equipped cottage in a great position in Corfe Castle. Layout is good especially for 2 couples with teenage or older children. Two bedrooms one end both with bathrooms and two bedrooms the other end with shared bathroom. Great garden. Log burning stove. Full of character would thoroughly recommend.
