This enchanting former fisherman’s cottage offers some superbly lavish and spacious interiors, set across three storeys and sleeping up to eight guests. It is proudly poised on the quayside of a picture-perfect Devon fishing village with the prettiest labyrinth of narrow streets incomparable to anywhere else in the country. This is the perfect sleepy retreat for a peaceful family getaway within easy reach of the epic countryside and coastline that Devon is famous for.

Leave your walking boots and jackets in the quaint porchway before making your way through to the stunning open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner - the perfect space to socialise as a family long into the evening. Take the weight off and relax in the living area with plenty of stylish seating which is perfectly positioned to enjoy both the quayside view from the large picture window as well as the inviting warmth from the cosy wood burner. Whip up a hearty meal in the retro-style kitchen at the rear, which is well-equipped for catering for a crowd, to be enjoyed around the spacious wooden dining table opposite. A handy downstairs shower room makes light work of washing off sandy toes. Enjoy a long soak in the bath in the family bathroom on the first floor to soothe sore walking muscles and bubble away the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cool and contemporary theme from the ground floor is carried through to both the bedrooms on the first floor, both of which are beautifully finished and feature original picture windows that flood the rooms with plenty of natural sunlight. Climb to the second floor and tuck yourself into either of the final two bedrooms and enjoy more natural sunlight and a gorgeous original ornamental fireplace that is reminiscent of the cottage’s rich past. Outside you’ll find the shared cobbled courtyard through which you can reach the wonderful historic quayside across the road and share a bag of chips whilst you watch the tide ebb and flow or the sun set on the horizon.

All 4 bedrooms are a good size (2 on first and 2 on second). I feel the problem is that a shower room is on the ground floor (other bathroom on the first). Kitchen is well stocked. Shame that the property has no real outside space just a walkway from front door to street between buildings.
