Fantastic Edwardian country house with wonderful arts and crafts features including stain glass windows, grand staircase and feature fireplaces, within walking distance to the friendly local Inn.

Surrounded by quaint fishing villages and coastal walks, and close to the gorgeous city of Dundee (7 miles), this grand country house is a wonderful base from which to explore. Perfect for family reunions and celebrations with friends, spend time socialising in one of many communal spaces, or continue spending time in the great outdoors and plan al fresco evenings with the BBQ fired up in your blossoming, south-facing garden. All of the charming bedrooms have their own en-suites so you can rise and shine and freshen up with ease before taking your morning cuppa outside into the gorgeous garden to get your day off to a relaxing start.

Step up and into the vestibule area, great for leaving boots and coats after hikes, and begin by making yourselves at home. The kitchen/diner is brimming with charm and is just waiting to be filled with delicious cooking smells as your designated chef rustles up something tasty to serve. Here, the table is perfectly suited to relaxed breakfasts with a few fellow guests, or for gathering with a mug of something warm whilst planning the next adventure. For formal evenings and three-course feasts partnered with bottles of bubbly or a wee dram, plate up at the dining table in the welcoming lounge. When the sun shines late into the day, sizzle up a banquet on the BBQ and spend time watching day turn to dusk - on clear nights this bolthole is a great place at which to stargaze. In addition to the dining table, the lounge is a great place for sociable evenings. Dance along to the Bose Bluetooth speaker, compete on the Wii console, or light the wood burner and curl up in front of the SkyTV. After long days and lively nights, say good night and ascend to the first and second floor where comfortable beds welcome tired heads as you get ready to drift off and dream. For families with little ones, the second-floor bedroom with a double bed and two singles is great for making sure everyone gets off to a peaceful night’s sleep. There is ample off-road parking.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

This is a lovely house with comfortable beds and a great location for exploring Fife. The owners (who live onsite) were quick to drop off dishwasher tablets. There is plenty of cutlery and crockery, although if the house was full there probably wouldnt be enough cooking dishes, casseroles etc. As mentioned in a previous review there wouldnt be enouRead moregh seating if the house was full. You wouldnt be able to all sit around the table or in the sitting area. It felt quite full with 7/8! Hide

This is a great holiday house for a large group. St Andrews about 5 miles with a good beach and shops and historic sights. Dundee just a bit further. We liked the beach at Broughty Ferry and eating options in Dundee. The house had everything we needed. The bedrooms are excellent.

We were a big family group (5 children and 7 adults) sharing a lovely spacious house over 3 floors which was well positioned to explore The Kingdom of Fife and into Perthshire (if golfing is not your thing!). Excellent well maintained property. Bedrooms and en suites a particular highlight. Good position near Tentsmuir forest and beach, as well as St Andrews. As property description states, it is tight for dining with full capacity, there were 13 of us in 3 generation family group including 5 young children but we managed.
