This spacious character barn conversion is lovingly maintained, holding much of its original charm, offering the perfect base in the heart of Oxfordshire for families and friends to relax and unwind.

Sleeping eight guests across four bedrooms, this beautifully light and bright property is a wonderful base for your group getaway. Experience lovely rural living in a house surrounded by open countryside and small villages, situated close to the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (8 miles), while still being within driving distance of Oxford city centre (16 miles). Laugh and chat over hearty meals in the welcoming local pub (1 mile) and go on rambles along nearby trails. A TV in every bedroom means you can look forward to leisurely mornings, before heading out on group adventures.

The house is well-suited to large groups, with spacious living areas to make spending time together comfortable and fun. Leave boots and shoes in the hallway and proceed to the smart and stylish kitchen. Stock up on supplies and keep them fresh in the two fridges, so you don’t have to worry about the hassle of daily shopping for eight people. Pick a soundtrack perfect for cooking to, using the iPod dock to turn up the volume, and while the food is in the double range oven, lay the table. Switch to more relaxing music while you eat, just through a wide doorway in the dining room. Alternatively, if the sun is shining then light the BBQ, open the patio doors, and dine alfresco in the fresh air on the terrace. On cooler nights, cosy up in the rustic-style lounge, with the exposed limestone wall behind you and the wood burner-effect electric fire glowing warmly. Watch TV or a film, while younger guests compete over games at the dining table. Soak under hot water in a bath or shower, then sink into a deep and untroubled sleep. There’s a bedroom on the ground floor, while the rest you’ll find up the stairs and along the gallery landing. Furnishings such as throws and cushions add a soft touch of colour for a calming ambience.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

A spacious property and a well equipped kitchen. Theres not much in Cote but the surrounding villages and towns in Cotswolds are only 15-20mins drive away. Its a good base for exploring the Cotswolds. Would definitely recommend it to others.

Really comfortable cottage with good facilities in an excellent rural location. Our family was a really mixed age group plus a dog and everyone had a good time with good local walks for the dog. On our arrival goody basket with milk etc was a really good touch. Also leaflets re dog walks had been left for us.

The cottage was in a very nice clean condition. Location is great and very convenient to visit all small villages and places of interest. The kitchen is fully equipped and clean. The internet might as well be not there, our main cause of frustration. As one relies on the internet if mobile signals are not available, it becomes of more importance toRead more use the cell phones. Otherwise, highly recommended. Hide

Was set in a lovely quiet location. Easy to get to places. Loved the fact that there was a large slow cooker so we were able to get ready meals ready for when we got back each evening. Very comfortable all round.
