A perfect family retreat for relaxing, enjoying local activities and exploring the heritage, culture and countryside of Mid Wales and its borders.

Embrace a trip back in time with a stay in a characterful 17th-century property, located on a working Herefordshire farm and boasting comfy surroundings for you all to enjoy. Despite its traditional decor and authentic farmhouse style, this property has been thoroughly updated to suit families and groups of all ages. Sleeping eight guests and two dogs, this unique accommodation option perfectly suits groups looking to explore the Heart of England and rural Mid Wales, with adventure-filled hotspots including the Brecon Beacons and the Shropshire Hills AONB just a short car journey away. Enjoy days out in pretty local towns and the many exciting rural retreats in the surrounding area, heading home at the end of each day to relax together in your very own cottage property.

You’re instantly met with the charm and intrigue of this property from the moment you arrive, spotting its 17th-century exterior and pretty surroundings. This traditional style continues inside with oak beams, original windows and exposed brick walls dotted throughout. Your first port of call on arrival will be the kitchen, a contemporary space that’s been well equipped to feed your entire party. A beamed feature wall separates the kitchen from a dining room with a sociable round table and enough space for all to sit down and eat together. Once dinner is done and cleared away, the living room beckons. Sink into a cushy sofa to watch TV or perhaps venture into the second lounge and whip out a board game or two. Alternatively, on days when you’re blessed with bright and sunny weather, the generous garden and lawn offers an abundance of space for eight to unwind. Throw open the doors from the sunroom and allow young ones and dogs to free roam in the outdoor space, where an enclosed garden with dining furniture and a sprawling lawn lie in wait for children to play on.

Lovely cottage with plenty of room. The most comfortable beds we have slept in, in any holiday cottage. Warm, cozy and very clean. Lovely owners and a great short circular walk around the farm for the dogs in the mornings. Secure back garden, front garden/driveway not secure. Would definitely recommend.
