Experience the magic of the Brecon Beacons National Park from this enticing, four-bedroom property in the hamlet of Defynnog, 2 miles from Sennybridge. Beautifully updated to offer comfortable accommodation for eight guests, it could be ideal for a group celebration or two families holidaying together. Gaze out across the River Senni and soak up the serenity in the garden, which runs down to the water’s edge. Venture out on walks from home and tackle the nearby peaks of Pen y Fan, Corn Du and Cribyn. Visit the Brecon Beacons National Park Mountain Centre, 4 miles away from the cottage. Absorb in the spectacular views from here and take the children to the play area and pause in the tearoom.

Enter the stone house to find accommodation with ample space for everyone to spread out. Gather together in the spacious lounge, where you can light the wood burner, watch TV or a DVD. Find the large kitchen, with its breakfast bar, electric oven with hob, microwave and fridge, is not only ideal for preparing meals but also offers another place to find a few quiet moments with the Sunday papers. Warmed by underfloor heating, prepare delicious meals in here then call everyone to the table in the adjoining dining room to sit down in style. Also downstairs, are a WC and useful utility room, with space for coats and boots, as well as a washing machine and an additional fridge/freezer. One of your double bedrooms, which enjoys an en-suite wet room with WC, is also at this level. Head upstairs to find the other inviting bedrooms, a double which looks out over the river, another double with an en-suite shower room with WC, and a bunk bedroom. Discover the family bathroom, which has a bath with shower over, as well as a WC, is also on the first floor.

Enjoy the beautiful garden at this house when the weather is fine. Dine out on the patio and gaze down towards the river. Amble down to the River Senni through the garden, taking care to supervise children at all times. Find plenty of parking at the house.

Highly recommended! Very comfortable and cosy whilst also very spacious. The cottage is fully equipped and had everything we needed. We had a baby with us and a full size cot (with bedding) and a high chair were provided. The hot tub is fabulous as are the grounds, with lots of outdoor space. The owner was lovely and very helpful. The cottage was in a nice location. Lots of space and a great hot tub. Beds are rather small, king size would have been better. Lots of parking.

Very comfortable (despite current restrictions in soft furnishings!) Extremely well equipped. Beautiful location and very friendly & helpful owner. Thank you for a lovely week, finally seeing & enjoying time with our Welsh grandchildren again!

The Old Factory House is a treasure. It met our needs perfectly. So many bathrooms, all of which are well fitted (the wet room downstairs was a life saver for our father who uses a wheelchair). They decorated for Christmas, which was so lovely, and they were very responsive to questions/requests, etc. Defynnog is great, and a perfect stepping ofRead moref point for other points of interest. I would ABSOLUTELY return for another visit. Hide

The cottage was amazing. Just like all the others, we have booked through Brecon Cottages. Perfect location for our needs, very well presented and spotlessly clean on arrival. Thank you.
