A unique and stylish property laid out in a reverse-level style, characterised by roaring fires, wooden beams, and awe-inspiring views of the mountains beyond.

Deep in the heart of the Brecon Beacons, sleeping eight guests across four bedrooms, this home from home is perfect for groups of family and friends. With tantalizing views across the surrounding peaks which you’ll soon be exploring, invite two of your dogs along to enjoy these scenic spots with you. Settle right in and surround yourself with the rustic charm, cosy creature comforts and breathtaking views which this home exudes.

Sitting beneath climbing wisteria is the fabulous first-floor living space where you will instantly feel at home. The impressive, vaulted ceiling stands tall above a roaring wood burner, perfectly surrounded by comfortable chairs and sofas. Here you can enjoy slow mornings with a pot of tea on the coffee table, or sociable evenings with a glass of something cold in hand and the 60s Wurlitzer jukebox which will get lively guests jiving the night away. Fill up on delicious feasts cooked up in the bright kitchen which can be enjoyed around the dining table or taken outside into the flowering garden, where a BBQ is the perfect solution to sizzling sundowner meals. Resting your head is a real treat in the four light, bright bedrooms. Find two bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms up a small staircase, and descend a winding oak staircase to the remaining two rooms and the family bathroom - great for starting the day with a relaxing soak in the tub. Stacked high with books and with plenty of space to leave wellies, coats and leads, the grand hallway is filled with country charm. If muddy boots and paws need wiping down, make use of the handy ground-floor utility room which is also home to a further fridge/freezer, great for storing picnic treats to grab on your way out, or cooling ice creams to enjoy after a summer’s day adventure. There is ample off-road parking.

A key fact about Old Croftau, is that the pictures simply do not do it justice. A magnificent upside-down property with views from the lounge windows that make you pause as you walk-by. The weather may not always play-ball, but you can walk from the door up onto three of the best, tallest beacons, tailoring your exercise to your time, desire and fiRead moretness-level. Brecon is close, but the property's placement means you can only see countryside, sheep and the ever-changing scenery. Highly recommend. Hide

A great cottage situated right at the foot of Pen Y Fan with excellent walking right from the door. Weather didn't play ball for us but we enjoyed relaxing in front of the wood burner listening to the jukebox. Old Crofftau was perfect for a mini break (and Sue & Kim couldnt have been more welcoming).
