Spread over three floors, it has four bedrooms, including two bunk rooms, making it ideal for families with young children who want to get together for a memorable holiday on the English Riviera. Ditch the car and spend your days going on long cliff-top walks and exploring the pretty fishing town on foot, with its boutique shops, seafood restaurants and traditional pubs. Several beaches are within 2 miles of the cottage, and the art deco seawater lido is great for a refreshing summer swim.

Charmingly characterful, with a blend of nautical themes, original stonework and inspirational messaging, the property is a lovely place to gather after a day of exploring. Bring everyone together for special meals around the large farmhouse table in the spacious open-plan kitchen. With full stomachs, retire to the cosy lounge to tackle a puzzle or put your feet up in front of the Smart TV. If you don’t fancy cooking, there are plenty of places to eat within metres of the property. Steep cottage-style stairs lead up to two bedrooms, including the master room that opens out on to a wonderful decked terrace area. Sit out in the sun and soak up the views across the water towards Torbay. Another flight of steep stairs leads up to the second floor, where you’ll find the other bedrooms. Enjoy a stroll along the Brixham breakwater that stretches for half a mile offshore, before relaxing on Breakwater Beach. Test your sea legs on boat trips to explore the coastline from the water and take a short ride across the bay to the popular resort of Torquay. For those who would rather stick to dry land, the South West Coast Path offers stunning scenery at every step, and you can walk to Berry Head Nature Reserve (1.5 miles) to spot some amazing wildlife. Look out for bottlenose dolphins, harbour porpoises and grey seals that can often be seen off the headlands. Travel in style on the Dartmouth Steam Railway from Paignton (5.5 miles) before embarking on a leisurely cruise along the River Dart. If you are a light sleeper don't book this property as fish market works all night with forklifts beeping all the time. If you have mobility issues not a good place to hire. Great fish restaurants, Beamers and Crusoes very close. Good location if you don't mind the noise of the fish market. Tree by snug causes lots of flies in snug. Lovely house, brilliant location, everything we needed and more, I would book again, 1 minute walk and on the harbour, perfect for us. After reading some reviews I expected noise from the fishing market but I hardly noticed it, windows open all night as the weather was nice, none of us heard anything to wake us in the night. Keysafe made it easy foRead morer everyone's access and not having to carry keys about. Living room was bigger than expected, the sofa being quite large and comfortable. Hide

Stayed July 2022 at this great property and location. Clean and comfortable with everything a family could need for a week. You can enjoy breakfast on the balcony in the sun, whilst watching the catch of the day being loaded and sent out below. We were very happy staying here for the pirate festival. Situated right by the harbour with a lovely balcony to sit and relax and enjoy the views. The bedrooms were a good size and beds comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped.

We stayed at Ocean View as a large family group including a toddler and 2 dogs. We found the cottage to be well equipped and wanted for nothing. The cottage is ideally placed for all age groups albeit take care when leaving as its roadside. The views from the balcony and upper bedrooms are superb and you get the feel of a hard working fishing port Read more& harbour. We ate out in a variety of places - nothing disappointed, the highlight being Rockfish which is less than 5 minutes walk. Hide

Ocean view cottage is in a fantastic spot just a stone's throw from the harbour. It's great for a couple of families to stay together. The beds are really comfortable and nice clean bedding. The cottage has good WiFi. The smart TV in the lounge was limited with the channels. The central heating worked well, very easy to use. We would stay here agaiRead moren. Hide

Very poorly equipped only comfortable seating for four despite sleeping 8. Extremely noisy Fish Market working all night. Fork lift trucks, Lorries etc. Only good point bedrooms were comfortable and showers were fine.
