With walking and water sports for all levels of fitness from the door, to gentle browsing of quaint shops and cafes, there is something for everyone.

Treat the family and stay in this comfortable cottage on the cusp of beautiful Tenby, a traditional seaside town on the stunning Pembrokeshire Coastline. Boasting glorious sandy beaches, rows of pastel properties and a delightful town centre lined with shops, boutiques and restaurants, you could soon be building sandcastles by the dozen and tucking into classic fish and chips on the esplanade. Your accommodation offers sleeping, dining and socialising space for up to eight guests, making it an ideal choice for large families. After a long day on the beach, you’ll relish the chance to curl up on the sofas with a couple of pooches and watch a film in the lounge.

Climb a few stone steps and then choose from two cosy lounges in which to unwind after your day’s adventures, lighting the wood burner in the stone-walled fireplace of the formal sitting room for an extra special touch. Beamed ceilings, exposed stone and laminate flooring make this room serenely atmospheric on chilly evenings, and it interlinks with the dining area and kitchen for easy access. The conversely contemporary kitchen is equipped with all the gadgets and equipment you could need to simmer up something tasty, or dish up a tasty takeaway to give yourself a break. There’s a small and pleasant outside space with seating for al fresco meals too. At bedtime, the king-size bedroom on the ground floor is a sanctuary with its additional TV and en-suite shower room, and upstairs the remaining three bedrooms share a large bathroom. One of the bedrooms also has an en-suite, and the light-filled twin room is perfect for children.

The attractive harbour is the best place to try crabbing or book an excursion on the water to visit Caldey Island. Inhabited by an order of Cistercian Monks, this holy Island is a treat to explore, and you’ll be able to pick up a few souvenirs to remember your visit, such as homemade perfumes and chocolates. Further afield, younger guests will appreciate the exciting rides and daring drops at Oakwood Theme Park 11 miles away. If you have grandparents in tow, Colby Woodland Gardens 8 miles away will appeal to everyone with its pleasant flower displays and quaint tearoom.

A nice stay at this old partly recently refurbished cottage with parking for two large cars, easy 3min walk to North Beach and a 10min walk to town. We found the upper terrace with the picnic bench a nice outdoor area to chill out on a warm evening.

Positives - walking distance to North Beach (steep incline down to beach) and town. Two parking spaces. Lovely to have two rooms, snug and lounge. Ideal downstairs en-suite bedroom for my parents. Had issues with heating but cant fault the agency for trying to resolve. Negatives - lacked TLC. No blind in downstairs bedroom just see through voile cuRead morertains, lacked equipment in kitchen - no jug, whisk, dishes for putting food in. Oven trays need renewing we put foil on them to make them useable. Hide

Great proximity to a beautiful beach and the two parking spaces were much appreciated. Very quick to walk into the town too. Overall the location was quiet and it was good to have outdoor space to sit in. The house was comfortable but the back rooms are gloomy and it lacked a few items that are usually provided as standard in holiday cottages (e.g.Read more hairdryer and coffee-making facilities).
