Sleeping eight people in four bedrooms and accommodating two canine companions, this superb detached property is light and airy with an open-plan living space that’s perfect for socialising and entertaining. A large terrace to the front of the property offers a delightful spot to relax in the sun and enjoy the view, while the gorgeous beach at Woolacombe is just over a mile down the road.

The hub of this property is the spacious and light-filled lounge/kitchen/diner, which stretches along the front of the building. This chic room has a minimalist feel with wooden floors, lots of natural light, and simple yet stylish furniture, adorned with coastal-themed artworks. The contemporary kitchen is a pleasure to use with a dual-fuel range cooker, plenty of space for food preparation and storage, and a breakfast bar so you can chat and drink together while cooking up a storm. Gather around the large dining table for special family meals, then pop the plates in the dishwasher and retire to the comfortable lounge to watch a film – why not warm your toes in front of the impressive wood burner on chilly evenings too? Double patio doors allow you to open up this room on warm days, and let it flow out to the generous outdoor terrace with its charcoal BBQ and outdoor sofas, where you can relax with a book and soak up some sun. With an assortment of shops, pubs and restaurants, Woolacombe has all the amenities close at hand for a wonderful stay, but the beach is undoubtedly the main attraction. With three miles of golden sands, rolling surf and little rock pools, it’s popular with families and surfers alike. Part of the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the region offers incredible walking and wildlife, with the South West Coast Path on your doorstep and migrating seabirds, dolphins and seals frolicking offshore. The seaside town of Ilfracombe (5.5 miles) offers a number of family-friendly attractions including a pretty harbour, museum, aquarium, galleries and the famous Tunnels Beaches, or you can hop on a boat over to unspoilt Lundy, an island home to puffins.

I would highly recommend this property for its cleanliness, style and location. The views from the terrace were absolutely stunning & the open plan living area was perfect for our family. The walk to Woolacombe wasnt too bad if not a bit steep in the way back and it will get between ter as the path is improved. A much better alternative to walking Read morealong the road whether it was muddy or not! We would definitely come back to Newlands again! Hide

We absolutely loved our stay at Newlands, we can't wait to return in the near future. The welcome hamper was very much appreciated by all! The house and view was beautiful! Highly recommended. Check out at 10am was quite a rush to tidy and pack up cars with our young kids and dog but we made it!

Lovely holiday cottage, lots of space for a family of 8 and facilities are well maintained. Great location close to Woolacombe centre and beach, hilly coming back up to the house, but manageable for all ages. Great property overall!

Wonderful cottage in a great location with awesome views of Woolcombe and the coast. This is a great size for large families and has lots of space for lounging around on bad weather days. We had a lovely weekend here in this really well equipped property. It has 4 spacious double bedrooms, a large lounge and dining area and a well equipped kitchen with everything we needed. The view from the patio down to the beach and to the fields across the valley was beautiful. The cottage is just outside Woolacombe so easy to get into town and Read moreto the beaches or out to Croyde. Lovely comfortable house. It had everything we needed for a holiday for six adults. In fact, with four good double rooms it would sleep eight with ease. Directly opposite the house is a path down to Woolacombe village avoiding the road. It's a reasonable walk but not difficult (despite what some of the other reviews say). Had a lovely week away, enjoyed the stunning views and watching the sun set every evening from the patio or lounge depending on weather. A lovely spacious home with 4 good double bedrooms, ample space in the lounge and dining area. The only negative is the driveway is very steep with limited turning space in the parking area if you have more than oRead morene car. Great cottage, really spacious, clean and comfortable. Fabulous welcome pack and flowers. Wonderful views and outdoor space. The location is great but you do need to drive into woolacomb there is no footpath along the road and although we discovered a route down via the campsites etc the walk back up is only for the very fit and able. The car parksRead more fill up quickly so get down early - its well worth the 12 a day parking as the beach is stunning plenty of space for dogs in designated sections. Hide

We had a lovely stay at Newlands! The house was very clean and comfortable. The beach is walking distance however we generally drove down as walking back up carrying beach things was very hard work! The front terrace was lovely for sitting out in the evening and has an amazing view! Would definitely recommend

A perfect size for larger families/groups. The open plan downstairs area allows everyone to spend time together, with the addition of a good selection of board games and puzzles. Lovely property to stay in with my family. There were six of us and we werent in each others way.Good size bedrooms with comfortable beds. A nice touch of a welcome box of goodies including Wine, Devon cream tea and milk in the fridge. The only downside was the lack of pavements on the road outside. The house was like home from home, we loved the little welcome package also, and the fact there were tv,s in the bedrooms. The bathrooms was just amazing, there was no bad point at all we loved it and hope to stay there again. The cottage is beautiful and well designed and well located to woolacombe and surrounding areas with plenty of walks nearby. The driveway is a a bit steep so those with low cars need to by mindful. The house is a great base to explore north Devon and you have everything you need so it is like home from home. Cant wait to visit again.
