Really good, big house in a nice village. Perfect for groups with children. Good pub in the village and great for walks nearby. The only negative is the tennis court is not really in a fit state for a proper match (if that matters to you!)

We were a party of 15 and we had a lovely weekend. The house was in a beautiful setting with a wonderful garden. The well stocked kitchen was easy to use with plenty of fridge space and cupboards and all the rooms had beautiful views and were spacious and comfortable. There were plenty of beds, though some were not very easy to get in and out of.

For our large group of pensioners out to walk on Exmoor, Monkham House proved to be an excellent base - plenty of space, kitchen full of equipment, a serving table/area just outside the dining room, plenty of toilets/showers/bath, lovely garden, access to a tennis court, great location - and a very helpful caretaker. Just right! Thank you.
