Set in a rural location with views across the open countryside, this traditional red brick farmhouse boasts spacious accommodation, perfect for creating memories with family and friends.

Escape to this gorgeous farmhouse close to the Welsh border, just 1 mile from the picture-perfect village of Preston-on-Wye. It is surrounded by tranquil, rolling countryside for a relaxing holiday to remember. The two-storey farmhouse sits at the base of a triangle between Hereford (10 miles), Hay-on-Wye (13.5 miles) and Leominster (20.5 miles), three scenic market towns, each with their own individual character – with a host of natural and historic sites nearby. The farmhouse sleeps eight people across four bedrooms. Blending a traditional layout with contemporary furnishings, the farmhouse offers several sociable spaces, including a lounge, breakfast room and dining room, while its large, enclosed garden with patio and lawned areas is a place for play and al fresco dining.

Step through the porch and into the hallway, which offers easy access to the bright and airy lounge, a lovely area to relax in throughout the year, whether gathering for drinks around the fire or enjoying a film while sinking into comfortable sofas. Also off the hallway, the dining room has ample space for the whole group to enjoy indulgent favourites or party games into the small hours. At the rear of the farmhouse, the kitchen/breakfast room will be a busy place where plans will be made, brunches devoured, and the world put to rights. A handy utility room stands nearby, as well as a shower room. The spacious landing on the first floor is home to a sofa facing a large picture window, perfect for grabbing some quiet time. There are four bedrooms on the first floor: a generous super-king-size bedroom (which can be converted to a twin) enjoying stunning views, and a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room sitting at the front of the farmhouse. A double bedroom and an adult-sized bunk room sit to the rear. Enjoy al fresco dining in the enclosed garden while soaking up views of the fields and hills beyond, or join in with garden games on the lawned area in front. Ample private parking is located opposite.

Old cottage with modern extention having kitchen and loo. Lovely quiet position. We had lovely family Xmas week. Would have appreciated a warm house on arrival. Lots of equipment in kitchen and dining room. Good size bedrooms lounge bit tight for 8. Big dog field at rear and derelict barn next door. Lots of parking.

Peace, quiet & lovely views. Saw an amazing number of birds of prey. Great outside space for children to play with plenty of seating & tables. A real sense of being away from it all. Dramatic skies and late sunshine over the wheat field was really beautiful.

Loved staying here, so peaceful and beautiful. The house had everything needed and was like a home from home. Beautiful views to wake up to and beautiful night skies. Loved sitting out listening to the widelife and seeing the bats fly around. Would definitely recommend.
