The cottage features four cosy, tastefully decorated bedrooms. A ground-floor en-suite super-king-size room has huge windows looking over the garden. Upstairs, a charming king-size room overlooks the garden, while to double room and a super-king-size zip-and-link have stunning south-facing views. There’s also a first-floor shower room and a separate bathroom with a claw-foot bath. Stepping outside, the large, enclosed garden has plenty of space for children to play. Lower Lodge is one of the nicest places weve ever stayed. We loved the property and location. The owners could not have been more kind, helpful and welcoming. We would all (an extended family of eight) love to meet there again one day. This is a venu for people who love to get away from it all. Very well maintained cottage . Wild recommend and Ideal for someone to take a peaceful break in wales away from cities . But at same time access to Monmouth town is a very short drive when needed . Owners were easily accessible and friendly.

A lovely location but a car is needed to go anywhere. Driveway is particularly bad due to lots of pot holes and if you have a low car can be a challenge. Cottage is roomy and has everything you need for a home from home holiday. Lovely views and garden and plenty of parking. Cottage could benefit from more wardrobe space as only 1 for 4 bedrooms. Be aware of narrow lanes approaching the cottage. Also know about long bumpy lane down to the cottage.

Lovely cottage to explore surrounding countryside and different places of interest. The cottage is very well equipped so home from home, and very spacious for a big family. The surrounding garden was bigger than we expected and secure,so a nice surprise for our dog.

We spent a wonderful week at Lower Lodge. We were met with a warm, friendly welcome. The accommodation met all our family needs and the garden was excellent for our young grandchildren. The parking space was brilliant.
