Long Cottage is a wonderful house in size and position. We were 2 families [9] and the house absorbed us all without any overcrowding. The house is wonderfully equipped. This large cottage comfortably absorbed the 3 generations of our family including 4 grandchildren (ages 6 months to 8 years). The facilities were excellent and well matched to our varied needs offering privacy when required. The garden and outside spaces were very good too. We are considering returning next year. We had a lovely stay at Long Cottage for a post-Christmas family get-together. The cottage is perfectly laid out for a multi-generational family. We chose, by chance, a week when both the pubs in Charmouth were closed, which meant more in-house catering than we had thought, so it was good that the kitchen was so well equipped. Long Cottage was equipped with everything you could possibly want and need. All very comfortable and in very good condition! The view down over Charmouth was amazing, and the walk to the beach only took about 15 minutes. Charmouth has lots of lovely shops and the Bakery does tasty bread, cakes and pasties.
