This lovingly converted detached house is an ideal spot to enjoy the coastal village of Badachro and surrounding areas. Located in a peaceful setting with stunning views over the harbour.

Enjoying sensational views across the blue waters of Gairloch and set in 1.5 acres of gardens, this charming whitewashed cottage is ideal for families and friends seeking a tranquil base from which to explore the attractions and activities of Scotland’s West Coast. With four bedrooms sleeping up to eight guests plus an infant, your cottage boasts comfortable interiors decorated in neutral tones with wooden accents, and room for the whole party to relax and forget about the stresses and strains of modern life. Sip a glass of wine in the sunroom watching the boats skim across the water below you or catch the last of the evening rays as you BBQ in the south-facing garden. Book a private tour of the Badachro Gin Distillery and purchase a bottle for cocktails on your cottage terrace. Set sail on a fishing trip across the loch or book your spot on a whale-watching cruise. Spend lazy days on the nearby beaches, including the aptly named Big Sand.

Designed to make the most of the spectacular views, your coastal cottage has a light and airy feel with rooms overlooking the water or gardens. Step through the front door and into the entrance hall where there is plenty of room to remove outdoor clothing and shoes. Sink into one of the plump sofas in the living room for a competitive board game or to watch your favourite TV programme. Your large kitchen/diner is a spacious room to socialise whilst preparing delicious meals. Younger guests can take their meals at the breakfast table, whilst the whole party can gather around the formal dining table for relaxed suppers and lively conversation. Take in the incredible vistas from the sunroom, a lovely space to sit and unwind watching the light play across the waters below. The first of the bedrooms can be found on the ground floor, a cosy twin, along with a shower room. Climb the stairs to the first floor to reach the three bedrooms and a family bathroom. Enjoying an en-suite shower room, the master double bedroom is a generous room where you can sit in bed appreciating the views across the water. There is a second double room and a twin bedroom, both light and airy rooms with wonderful views. With 1.5 acres of grounds to roam, there is plenty of room for younger guests to let off steam. Play football or rounders on the lawn and spread out your blankets for a picnic lunch or evening stargazing. Sit on the patio with a glass of wine and watch the colours change on the water below you.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

House has everything you could need, location is beautiful with loads of walks. A stones throw from the pub (although up a hill). Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic stay! The house was super clean with gorgeous views and lots of space for a large family getaway. It was perfect having the two sitting areas for the kids to play or watch a film and the other for relaxing/reading with a wine. We had booked the house as we holidayed in Gairloch as children so took our parents back to the area celebrate 60Read moreth birthdays and the house suited everyone. The perfect location to get out and explore the area. We will definitely book again in future! Hide

Lovely spacious house in an excellent location, would never tire of looking at the views. Badachro Inn is a short walk away if you don't want to cook and would like a drink. Enjoyed watching the birds at the bird feeders while eating our meals. Only complaint was the kitchen wasn't as clean as we would have liked.

The house was very nice, lots of room, good beds, great showers, and lots of kitchen equipment. Good wifi. However, by adding some nice towels (those that are there are thin and old) and renew one or two of the frying pans it would be a fantastic house. Lovely location.

Overall we loved this cottage and would rate it amongst the best we have stayed in. Very spacious and comfortable, and the layout certainly makes the best of the fantastic views. There are plenty of places to sit all around the house, to enjoy the views, inside and outside. Beds were comfortable, and the showers were good. What's more, The BadachroRead more Inn is excellent, and only a 5 -10 minute walk away. The perfect place to enjoy one of the best parts of Scotland. We hope to be back soon. Hide
