Plan an active holiday centred around mountain walks and exciting activities in the rugged wilderness of the Brecon Beacons National Park, taking to the water at Llangorse Lake 8.5 miles away for sailing and fishing, or arranging with the activity centre to try pony trekking and rock climbing. There are three golf courses to choose from within 12 miles, and the River Wye has several excellent spots for catching salmon by prior arrangement. Gentle rambles and riverside strolls may be more appealing if you prefer a quieter pace, and you’ll have ample opportunity to try local delicacies and enjoy some well-deserved retail therapy in thriving market towns such as Hay-on-Wye, 7.5 miles away. Lovely large barn conversion with friendly owners on hand if required. Our young adults enjoyed the hot tub. It was hot whilst we were there and therefore had the windows open. Being situated on the main road through Llyswen it could get noisy as it was quite a busy road. Otherwise great base to explore from

Perfect home had everything you needed, very spacious with a big group. Had a lovely welcome pack and fresh flowers on arrival a lovely touch. What a fantastic weekend we had!! The owners and their family were so friendly and attentive, making sure that we were ok/ didnt need anything. What an amazing find. Right on the steps of the Brecon Beacons. The cottage was very clean and fully equipped with everything we needed. The hot tub was just what was needed after a long walk. We had a fantastic stay in the accommodation. The owners are really lovely! The cottage was super clean, well equipped/furnished & cosy. Lots of room & space to accommodate large groups or multiple families. There are 2 pubs within walking distance. One serves lovely food. A petrol station & a little shop are also within easy reach. What a lovely house. Very clean, plenty of space and hot tub was an excellent addition. Liz and Steve, our hosts were very helpful and always on hand to offer help and advice. A little bit of noise from the road but this meant it was convenient for lots of places. This property was a lovely, bright and spacious barn conversion, ideal for our family of 6. The property was immaculately clean with the hot tub all set up and ready for use. The open-plan kitchen/living space was spacious and well-equipped with a beautiful pine table in the middle. The sofas in both rooms were large but very tired looking. Exceptional finish to cottage.Great care has been taken in the renovation of a barn to accommodate modern day living. Central to the village, amenities within 5 minutes stroll and easy access to transport routes for mid Wales. It is adjacent to an A route which was a little noisy and busy during weekdays....so plan a full agenda of sightseeing.

Llys Faen was a beautiful converted barn equipped with everything we needed for our holiday. There were four adults and four children in our party and there was plenty of room and seating for all of us. Liz and Steve were friendly and welcoming and on hand to offer advice when we needed it. Really nice cottage finished to a very high standard. Great hot tub. Owners were very friendly and made every effort for us to have a relaxing stay. Additional covid cleaning measures meant that we had a slightly earlier departure than normal which was a shame but hardly the owners' fault. Will definitely be back for another visit.
