This spacious four-bedroom cottage is perfect for families holidaying together with a fantastic enclosed garden that will amuse kids and dogs for hours. There are plenty of cosy nooks to settle into after happy days out in the Devon countryside as well as two bedroom areas that can also be connected.

Originally three separate houses, this delightful home retains many of its original features and a layout that works very well for group visits. There is ample parking to the front of the cottage, and inside you’ll love the traditional inglenook fireplaces and the large family dining room where everyone can gather for leisurely meals. Cook up a storm in the kitchen with both an electric range oven, as well as a dishwasher to make clean-up easy. Come together after dinner in the large living room for board games and family films, or let the older kids drift off to their own cosy snug next door with TV/DVD and a toasty wood burner. The huge enclosed garden stretches over two acres, and younger kids will be in their element seeking out every little corner while you sit back and enjoy the sunshine at the patio table. And with a washing machine and dryer as well as a utility room to store muddy gear, you can let them explore whatever the weather. Two stairways lead to the bedrooms upstairs, which can be linked together through the middle bedroom or kept as two individual wings. One side has one double and one twin bedroom, and the other a twin bedroom and a king-size bedroom that can also be set-up as a twin. Both sides have a family bathroom each and two further WCs downstairs are a useful addition.

Beautiful cottage and garden, very peaceful. We and the dogs had a lovely time. Nearest Village for pubs and shops and take aways ten or fifteen minutes away in Torrington. Thank you Sue for being on hand if needed.

The property is set in beautiful secure grounds, the garden being a paradise for dogs. The property is huge and comfortable and was more than ample for the eight of us and our three dogs. It is central for the coast and local attractions. The Globe in Beaford is a lovely pub serving delicious meals

Amazing garden and view, great size house and comfortable, had a lovely relaxing 2 weeks. Nothing bad to say really except it is right next to a road, it's not overly busy but if you're not used to noise at night you may need earplugs. Can't be helped where the house is though and it wouldn't stop me going again.

Excellent property, well equipped, spotlessly clean and bucket loads of character. Thoroughly enjoyed our week, despite the efforts of the weather.

Lovely very clean house with everything you need. The garden is huge and the dogs absolutely loved it! And a beautiful view . Would definitely recommend the globe pub for a good meal and the old pub atmosphere. We would definitely stay at lantern cross again.

The main reason we chose this cottage was the garden; 2 secure acres of dog heaven and we wern't disappointed. As far as holiday cottages go, you would be hard pressed to find better. Both for amenities, comfort, quality and of course the garden. The whole cottage is simply immaculate, fully loaded and extremely well laid out. Clearly a great deal Read moreof thought, time and money has gone into what they offer. Nothing has been overlooked and we cannot recommend it highly enough. Hide
