Lansallos is an idyllic village, sitting astride the stunning South West Coast Path between Polperro (2.5 miles) and Polruan (4.5 miles). A short walk down a wooded trail, once a smugglers' path, lies a tranquil, sandy beach. Other quiet beaches and coves lie within easy reach, either via the coast path or by taking a short trip in the car. Take day trips to the seaside towns of Polperro and Looe (6.5 miles) and enjoy a taste of freshly caught fish in one of their many pubs and restaurants. Or head to the larger port of Fowey (5.5 miles) with its quaint streets full of boutique shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants and take lunch on its quay overlooking the spectacular harbour. Further attractions include The Eden Project, The Ship Wreck Centre and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, all within 30 miles.

 Upon arrival, enter the large conservatory, a perfect spot for dining. A door from the conservatory will lead you into the lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge area is a great spot to kick back and relax after a day's exploring and for those cooler months, you can snuggle up on the comfy sofas in the glow of the wood burner whilst catching up with your favourite series on the TV. This open-plan central hub of the property is the perfect place to gather for that pre-meal chit-chat. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for your cooking requirements including an electric oven and hob, an American-style fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and a breakfast bar. At the end of the corridor is a roomy utility area fitted with a separate washing machine and drier and loads of space to sort wet swimming clothes. The dining area seating eight boasts an antique pine farmhouse table, just perfect for lazy breakfasts and evening meals. From the dining area, patio doors lead onto the decking and gardens. A hallway just off from the kitchen will take you to the bedrooms and bathrooms. There are four bedrooms to choose from: two double bedrooms, both beautifully furnished with doors leading out to the garden, and two twin bedrooms. Completing the accommodation is a bathroom with a shower over bath and WC, and one shower room with WC.

Heading outside to the rear, you are greeted by a large garden with spacious lawns for children to play, as well as flower beds and shady corners dotted with shrubs. There is a south-west facing terrace with seating for eight and a separate terrace under a rose-covered pergola – an ideal spot for an evening BBQ. To the front, the garden is planted with mature copper beech, magnolia and cherry trees and in one corner stands a small stone terrace – a lovely spot for evening drinks while watching the sun go down. From this terrace, you can also look out to sea. There is private parking available for three cars.

The perfect place for a peaceful getaway! We loved our stay here, our days spent outdoors, walking and visiting the beaches and coastal villages nearby. The house was spacious, warm and a great home-from-home base with everything we needed, plus an amazing garden. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful quiet location in October. Spacious, open plan, light cottage. Stunning garden with multiple places to sit and exits from the cottage into the garden. Lansallos cove a lovely 3/4 mile walk away with access to the coastal path.

We had one of our best holidays in Cornwall. Despite having to initially postpone our holiday due to Covid when we did go the weather did not let us down. We really therefore appreciated the magical garden at The White House. Lovely location and really comfortable.
