Sleeping eight across four plush bedrooms, you'll wake up refreshed and ready to enjoy everything this fantastic lodge has to offer. Top of the itinerary is a soak in the hot tub on the terrace, looking out across the 7 acres of grounds that surround you - perfect after a long day out exploring the local area. Head to Oswestry (7 miles) and discover the town's rich history, climbing atop the Iron Age fort, or take advantage of one of the many pubs and restaurants for a bite to eat and your favourite tipple.

Drive through the gates and park up at this beautiful lodge before heading inside and leaving your coats in the hallway, chucking any muddy laundry from long walks in the washing machine in the utility room. Continue down the hall and feel the welcome of a bright and airy open-plan living area where spotlights and a mixture of white tones with dark furnishings are complemented by superb views from the picture windows and French doors. Throw these open on a summer's day and head out to the veranda for an al fresco BBQ before unwinding in that fabulous hot tub. There's even a shared full-size tennis court and children's play area, so everyone's catered for. On cooler nights, stock up on the snacks and sink into the velvet sofas for a film night or play some board games long into the night. When it's time for bed, soft decor and crushed velvet in the bedrooms will lull you to sleep; rush to get the king-size room with en-suite shower room and doors to the veranda! There are two more king-size bedrooms with en-suites and a Jack and Jill bathroom connecting a super king-size zip-and-link bedroom to the hallway, so there's something for everyone here.

Head a mile up the road to the family-friendly pub in Knockin and grab a tasty pub lunch in the beer garden after a morning out at the Ty Mawr Country Park (16 miles). If you're looking for something to get the blood pumping, why not book the track at Rednal Karting (7 miles), or take the plunge at Rapid Horizons Llangollen (18 miles) and go rafting. Any party members looking for a slower-paced afternoon can go for a horse-drawn canal ride in the town, or take a stroll along the footpaths. Further afield, Alyn Waters (23 miles) is the perfect place for a family cycle and has easy access to the nature reserve, an adventure playground and a golf driving range.

Lovely lodge, exactly what we needed for a group if 8 friends (4 couples) getting together . There were a few things not working correctly and issues with equipment but nothing that could spoil our weekend

Beautifully appointed lodge, with a few minor issues. Set in a rural environment. Lots to do in the surrounding area within an acceptable travel distance.

Beautiful place, definitely good for a peace trip and lots to keep the children busy! The only issues we had was the WiFi, definitely worth downloading bits for the kids before handing before. Great place to stay we had a few issues with cleaning but overall mostly clean . Location was great . The lodge has lots of space and the grounds were spotless . We are looking into booking again next year as we had such a lovely stay .

Fantastic property in a beautiful location, ideal for families and big groups of friends. Everything you need is in the lodge its really well equipped, plenty of cutlery and seating the beds are super comfy. Would definitely come again and would highly recommend this property.

Kingfisher Lodge is a really lovely place, absolutely ideal for family get togethers. The Hot Tub is a bonus.

Lovely location, lovely facilities & helpful staff. Would recommend. The walk to the village is mainly road so need to take care. Anyone with poor mobility can request a ramp for ease of access. We were a group of six with one member with mobility issues. Would definitely return.

The location is central for days out in both Shropshire and Wales. The four ensuites are a real bonus. The size of the veranda can only be appreciated when staying at the property and with part of it being covered it can also be used when raining. The same can be said of the hot tub. The four lodges on the private park are well spaced out and do noRead moret overlook each other.
