The beautiful sandy Kilfinan Bay is just a mile from the house and looks out onto the stunning Loch Fyne. Kilfinan is also home to a church dating back to the 13th century, and is an ideal spot for exploring the region's ancient history. The remains of Ascog Castle (8 miles) are nearby, or you could head to the picturesque coastal village of Portavadie (8.5 miles) which is home to a marina and Wilder Ways, which offers pony-trekking.
The pretty village of Tighnabruaich (8.5 miles) has a choice of shops and places to eat, and is known as a great base for rock fishing, cycling and yachting. The nearest main town is Dunoon (25 miles) which has a variety of great shops, pubs and restaurants as well as a cinema and leisure centre.
