Lovely cottage in excellent, remote location with easy access to walks. Be aware if bringing dogs that there is NO provision for cleaning them (no outside tap).

Very comfortable, well equipped house. The photographs online do not do the property justice. The area is quite remote which is what we chose however it is between 30 minutes to an hours drive to the more popular lakes or the coast.. The views from the house were stunning and the fully enclosed garden was so useful with 3 dogs. There are lots of waRead morelks locally and the local Inn serves really good food and is very cosy. We stayed here in the midst of a heatwave, temps reached the 30's but the cottage was so cool and comfortable, no problem sleeping at night. We have stayed at many properties over the years but Jenkinsons Place stands out for the fantastic views from the windows. We had a wonderful week here with the family and 2 doggies that loved the enclosed larRead morege garden and there were wonderful walks from the door. Our grandson and the dogs loved paddling in the lake, just what you needed on a very hot week. Hide

On entry the cottage has the wow factor. Once using the cottage you can see that some refurb is needed. Bedrooms are comfortable. Location is lovely. Nearby Lake District attractions are within easy driving distance.

Our second stay in Jenkinsons Place. It cant be faulted for location and the view. Very generous living space and kitchen. Loved the garden so again we took our own BBQ. One issue would be the absence of a downstairs loo. But all in all one of the best cottages Ive stayed in in The Lakes and in the best area.

Jenkinson's Place was an ideal cottage, very spacious with comfortable beds , lovely cool but warm bedding (liked them so much came home and bought some) and free logs all week. It was lovely see the birds on the bird feeder and saw a great spotted woodpecker. We had the best week as the weather was glorious. Went on our favourite walks around ButtRead moreermere, Wast Water, Loweswater, and new walks to Ennerdale Water (hidden gem and worth going to and free parking!), Cogra Moss and Crummock Water.
