Sitting in the north wing of a fine 18th-century country house, this luxurious property is brimming over in opulence and character. If you’re planning a large welcome dinner for your loved ones, you have two kitchens to choose from – so there is no competition when it comes to cooking space. You will also enjoy amazing sea views as you prep your feast. Later, gather everyone together to eat in the spacious dining room, or make your way outside, strike up the BBQ and dine alfresco on the private terrace in front of the shared garden and lawn. If you fancy a game of table-tennis or pool after dinner, make your way to the TV/games room. There you can thrash your rival at table-football or just relax and warm your toes in front of the wood burner. Or, if you’re looking for a little quality me-time, head to the more genteel ‘Coffee Room’ living room with a good book. Take a stylish stroll at the Royal Park in Sandringham Estate (2.5 miles), where you’ll find two wonderful waymarked nature trails - one a leisurely 1.5-miles long and the other 2.5-miles long. Or head to Old Hunstanton Beach (7 miles) where there’s a glorious expanse of fine golden sand to explore. This beach is located on the only part of Norfolk’s coastline that is west facing, so it’s well sheltered and provides a rare opportunity to take in the sunset. Alternatively, head into King’s Lynn and enjoy a unique group dinner at Marriotts Warehouse (10.6 miles). Now a restaurant with a strong emphasis on the wealth of meat, fish and seasonal produce on offer in the area, this beautiful Grade II-listed building was built by local merchant Thomas Clayborne in around 1580. Make sure you take the time to check out the exhibition area on the first floor, where you can learn all about King’s Lynn’s historic buildings.
