Savour the flavour of the Westward Ho! salt in the gentle sea breeze as it floats up to the balcony from the ocean. Imagine long evening meals with your tribe seated out on the decking as the sun sets. Cooler days will see you collectively in the snug/kitchen/diner; pots of coffee, croissants and catching up with the outside world using the TV/DVD and WiFi. Locally the 2 mile wide beach, atmospheric pubs, dog-friendly cafes and shops are all within an easy 20 minute walk – you don't need to use the car to walk the dogs here.

 

 

 

This tall, contemporary styled house is on four floors and has a touch of luxury with great attention to detail. The lounge/kitchen/diner is a festival of light with superb bi-fold doors opening to reveal the decked balcony, large enough to accommodate you all for al fresco dining and sunbathing. The kitchen is beautifully equipped, and extremely social, with an ample dining table well positioned alongside leaving no excuse for idle hands. You can cook, catch up and enjoy a glass of fizz. On the next floor is the serious lounge space with the most exquisite sea views. The sumptuous sofas will allow for total relaxation and here you can restore the weary soul and catch up on a favourite movie or boxset. As night time nudges you towards bed, the soothing colour pallets and comfy beds will calm you and once again, you will be swept away by the breath-taking views. Plenty of bathrooms, the king-size bedrooms have en suites and balconies, and the finishing touches in each are a delight. four balconies, you can take the dogs too. This is a master class of a holiday home.

Within 5 miles you can visit the vibrant market town of Bideford or the quaint fishing village of Appledore, plus the Big Sheep family adventure park is great fun. Or you can stay put and enjoy the beach for swimming, sunbathing or the surf academy. There are colour-coded maps on Northam Burrows road displaying the parts of the beach where dogs are allowed in the summer months. Perhaps a stroll over to Northam Burrows Country Park behind the beach may also appeal.

Lovely house in excellent location,just watch the sharp pullout at the bottom of the road. Very well equipped and appointed. We were a family of 8-5 adults and 3 children and there was plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen/dining/small lounge was very pleasant-being able to cook,keep an eye on the children and have a glorious sea view. Loved haRead moreving a second lounge with a view. One of the best appointed properties we've ever stayed in. Beautiful location. Really enjoyed the stay. Would recommend North Devon Surf Schhol, who were excellent, and The Pig & Whistle Pizza Bar next door. Beach is amazing and well manned by Life Boat staff.
