Pack your wellies and your flip flops and head to both countryside and coast for days full of adventure, exploration and spectacular views of the local landscapes. With plenty of room for guests both young and old, gather in the communal spaces to make exciting holiday plans or steal away to find a quiet corner for a moment of peace. With fantastic indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy, you won't have to venture far from home for days filled with fun.

Exuding traditional charm and character, slip straight into holiday mode and forget about everyday routines and daily life. The kitchen really is the hub of the house, with its warming AGA and stunning French-style dining table; rustle together snacks and enjoy a cup of tea in this welcoming space. For more formal meals, savour a home-cooked feast in the separate dining room which boasts elegance and grandeur. A further dining space sits outside and is perfect for balmy evenings and enjoying the last of the sun before dusk comes rolling in. If you don't fancy sitting still and putting your feet up by the wood burner in the cosy snug or the lounge, make your way outside to the games room and challenge fellow competitive guests to a game of table tennis, darts or pool. You could also choose to let off steam in the beautiful Moroccan-inspired gym or partake in a game of croquet on the lawn. Climb one of two staircases to reach the first floor where you will find four of five bedrooms, the fifth bedroom is up another level on the second floor. All rooms are delightful spots in which to rest tired heads before waking and hopping in the hot tub for a morning soak.

Dunster sits on the outskirts of Exmoor National Park and provides a perfect base for family fun or walkers alike. Make your way into the heart of the moors and discover the beauty of Tarr Steps, 14 miles from home where a stunning walk and fabulous pub await. For a taste of the sea, travel 20 miles to the quaint village of Lynton and Lynmouth and devour a portion of tasty fish and chips by the water. Hop onto the South West Coast Path here and make your way to Valley of the Rocks for dramatic views.

An incredible location with pubs and cafes just a very short walk away. It is large property but homely in a good way. We were a large family group who enjoyed all the amenities. Its also a good base to explore from. We will book again , its that good.

We had a fantastic weeks holiday in Dunster . The house was magical and had everything we needed for our stay . The garden was beautiful with amazing birds as well . We lived going out into the deer park at dusk to hear the owls and the sound of the river . We hope to Come back again

Beautiful old property with plenty to keep all guests happy with games rooms and gym or just sitting in the English country garden. Great location in that you are in Dunster for shops/restaurants and the castle, but also easy to get out on great walks. All the bedrooms are lovely especially the top floor suite. It would have been useful to have insRead moretructions/tips on how to use the Aga (although there is an alternative cooker) and known in advance that charcoal is needed for the electric bbq. Hide

We had an amazing time at High House. The property is very well equiped and it was perfect for 3 families to use with things to entertain everyone with the hot tub, games room and space for everyone to spread out but also be together. The location was ideal too with a options for evening meals in the village or the ability to eat in which was a greRead moreat mix for us. There were lots of lovely walks on the doorstep. What a lovely house to spend New Year! We loved the house - it was incredible and very comfortable. The facilities were superb. Dunster is also a fantastic place to stay. We loved the Luttrell Arms and the many walks around Dunster. Would highly recommend High House for a memorable stay.

We had the most brilliant family holiday at High House, it was the perfect choice with so many wonderful things to enjoy. The house is absolutely gorgeous, and we loved the outdoor space and all the extras like the hot tub, gym, table tennis room, etc. It has everything you could possibly need and the village is beautiful. An excellent holiday in a perfectly situated house. The garden was idyllic and ideal for relaxing. Our boys enjoyed the games rooms also.
