Lovely house but needs more attention. Location good. Unfortunately no signs of deep cleaning. Dead flies on kitchen windowsill. Cake crumbs on dresser plus rubbish under beds and furniture. Lost TV during week. You need to pay for WiFi. Very nice bedrooms, lovely garden.

Lovely location and house fine for 2 families. We had a fabulous holiday but the house could do with a bit of work. One of the showers leaked through the ceiling and the smoke alarms were beeping to be changed. Very delayed response from the owners when we messaged and phoned them about WiFi so didnt feel we would get any response about problems.

Lovely property, all the things you needed. The only fault was the dart board in the games room needs replacing, I would have replaced it myself if wed have gone to a sports shop. Everything else in terms of cleanliness and convenience was amazing. Thanks Paul

This gorgeous huge house is simply out of this world. Our extended families needed a break after many holiday cancellations during lockdown and this ticked all the boxes. The owner and his daughter were so nice and helpful (live next door and didn't mind our questions) or us feeding their horses! The house is so well equipped, literally nothing we Read moreneeded that wasn't already there. The spa passes are a major bonus for Armathwaite Hotel which is gorgeous. A lovely place to stay, nicely decorated with lots of space. We were a party of 6 adults, 3 kids, 1 baby and 2 dogs, and still felt we all had plenty of room! It was very comfortable and the dining room was perfect for family meals all together. The Armathwaite Hall passes are a nice bonus- the spa there is definitely worth a visit! The only slightRead more niggle was that some things were not working (fireplace in the lounge, TVs in a couple of bedrooms). No response when I messaged the owner. Hide

We all loved this property from the moment we arrived. The children were so excited by the size and the freedom in the house. It was comfortable and warm in cold weather.
