Beautifully positioned 16th century farmhouse with exposed wooden beams, flagged floors and character over-looking fields with the Dales in the distance. A wonderful place to relax in front of the wood burner in this wonderful setting.

Escape the rat race in this charming traditional farmhouse sleeping eight guests over four bedrooms. Surrounded by the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, where time seems to stand still, absorb yourself in the gentle sounds of nature. Walk the local trails, visit the pretty stone villages, take time cooking hearty feasts on the AGA and snuggle up in front of the toasty wood burner with your friends or family.

Entering through a spacious utility room that’s ideal for shedding all the wet, muddy boots and clothes, you’ll head through the comfortable lounge with its cosy wood burner to the welcoming kitchen. Warmed by an AGA, with a pine table in the centre, it’s definitely the place to gather as you rest your tired legs and enjoy your well-earned tea and biscuits. Get the kids helping to set the large dining room next to the kitchen and enjoy precious family time over dinner as you all plan the next day’s activities. A small study area beside the dining room offers a sanctuary for anyone seeking a little peace and quiet and there’s a double sofa bed that’s perfect if you need an additional sleeping area. The cottage is brimming with original features, from the rustic beams to the flagstone floors and children will love the ancient stone staircase that winds its way up to the bedrooms. Two twin bedrooms, one with limited headroom plus a double room with en-suite shower room and a super-king-size bedroom with en-suite bathroom provide ample space for the whole gang to spread out. Outside there’s a shared garden with table and chairs, with an orchard and small pond as well as off-road parking for four cars.

A large, very well equipped cottage in a beautiful part of the Yorkshire Dales with wonderful views and plenty of walking and other activities. We were a party of 8 of all ages and there was room and comfortable bedrooms for everyone. The furniture was sometimes in need of refreshment, but it was comfortable on the whole and fitted the character ofRead more a very old property. The building has been very well maintained, though the garden was rather neglected. Hide

Fantastic location, very roomy and nice garden. The house is quite dark so the fact that a number of light bulbs were not working was annoying. In general the house needed a bit of TLC.

Charming cottage and spacious shared garden in an ideal location. Warm and cosy of an evening, reasonably well equipped, however, please be aware that the owners only have the Aga on from October to March when you book and this is not mentioned in the advert, so we were disappointed to find we couldnt use it to cook with.

This house is in a super location. The house is in need of some TLC with the decor and certain fitments showing their age/use. There was only two of us staying so we had ample room but I feel it would be cramped with any more than 5 or 6 adults staying. There is ample off road parking and the house is tucked back away from the road. It is linked toRead more two adjoining rental properties. Children and dogs would need supervision in the garden as it is not fully secure and there is a small pond. Hide

We were awoken by the sheep - what more could you want? A lovely quirky house, where we had fun and made memories. If you are 6ft+ you have to mind the beams and some door frames and the upstairs floors are typical of an old house, creeky and uneven. If you intend to cook - find the instructions for the cooker. Our family of 5 adults had plenty of Read moreroom and good wifi. Hide

Beautiful location with a well equipped comfortable farmhouse, excellent facilities. The utility or drying room was brilliant for wet walking and cycling gear. Plenty of good walks from the farmhouse and even circular cycle routes. My teenage children and 2 dogs had a wonderful time. Thank-you.

This is a beautiful old farmhouse with many original features and lovely garden to the front. The views are glorious and you really feel like you are away from it all. The beds were comfortable, it had everything we needed, the Aga and fire were enough to keep the house warm, and the heating worked very well too. There are walks from the back of thRead moree farmhouse but you need to be prepared to drive along the narrow roads to get everywhere, this was part of the enjoyment for me though. Hide
