Stunning views of the Dales from the farmhouse windows are a wonderful feature, enticing walkers of all abilities to go out and explore, you can leave the car behind if you wish and walk along the tranquil valley surrounding the farmhouse. Further afield you reach the stunning shores of Lake Windermere where you can explore the lake via a lake steamer and experiencing the outstanding countryside, as the day floats on by.

Entering through the spacious utility room which offers a washing machine, tumble dryer together with a Belfast sink and ample space for jackets and boots to be stored. Extending along the corridor you have a separate WC. To your right of the corridor you enter the spacious lounge, the room is enhanced with original oak beams, Sky TV and wood burner, the perfect place to unwind on the sofas after a day of exploration. This house is in a super location. The house is in need of some TLC with the decor and certain fitments showing their age/use. There was only two of us staying so we had ample room but I feel it would be cramped with any more than 5 or 6 adults staying. There is ample off road parking and the house is tucked back away from the road. It is linked toRead more two adjoining rental properties. Children and dogs would need supervision in the garden as it is not fully secure and there is a small pond. Hide

We were awoken by the sheep - what more could you want? A lovely quirky house, where we had fun and made memories. If you are 6ft+ you have to mind the beams and some door frames and the upstairs floors are typical of an old house, creeky and uneven. If you intend to cook - find the instructions for the cooker. Our family of 5 adults had plenty of Read moreroom and good wifi. Hide

Beautiful location with a well equipped comfortable farmhouse, excellent facilities. The utility or drying room was brilliant for wet walking and cycling gear. Plenty of good walks from the farmhouse and even circular cycle routes. My teenage children and 2 dogs had a wonderful time. Thank-you.

This is a beautiful old farmhouse with many original features and lovely garden to the front. The views are glorious and you really feel like you are away from it all. The beds were comfortable, it had everything we needed, the Aga and fire were enough to keep the house warm, and the heating worked very well too. There are walks from the back of thRead moree farmhouse but you need to be prepared to drive along the narrow roads to get everywhere, this was part of the enjoyment for me though. Hide

The cottage overall had a lot of charm, was spacious and adequate for all our needs. it had interesting features inside which added to the rustic appeal. The views from the cottage were amazing, and it was in a very quiet, peaceful location.
