This thoughtfully converted, listed barn conversion with private hot tub enjoys a rural coastal location high above the pleasant fishing village of Portreath.

For large families or groups of friends, this impressive five-bedroom rural retreat, one of eight similar properties within the former farm, offers luxurious accommodation close to the North Cornwall coast. Spend leisurely evenings chatting late into the night in the large patio garden, complete with indulgent hot tub. Younger guests will love the well-equipped shared play area where they can let off steam before bed. Located above the village of Portreath (1 mile) the wide range of shops, pubs and eateries are easily reached. Family-friendly Portreath Beach is a lovely spot for sunbathing and a swim, or for those feeling active, book a group windsurfing lesson and start skimming across the sea. Get competitive with a crabbing competition off the pier before feasting on fish and chips at the harbour.

Retaining many of its original features inside and out, your beautiful barn conversion blends traditional touches with contemporary style. The spacious kitchen/diner is truly the heart of the home with plenty of room to prepare meals together. Share delicious dinners around the large rustic dining table where you can enjoy a glass of wine and convivial conversation. Heading upstairs to the first floor, you will find the generous galleried lounge area. Sink into one of the comfortable sofas and enjoy the far-reaching views across the garden and the bay below. When it’s time for bed there are five comfortable bedrooms, two of which enjoy en-suite facilities. Three of the bedrooms can be found on the ground floor and two on the first floor. There is also a family bathroom and separate shower room. Outside, enjoy an al fresco drink on the balcony watching the colours play on the distant sea. There are two patio areas, one with large hot tub and garden furniture. You also have access to the shared children’s play area, with swings, slide and football goals. There is plenty of off-road parking.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Fabulous barn conversion, very clean, spacious and comfortable especially as 3 families staying at the same time. The bedrooms were separated out perfectly for the 3 families to have their own family space too.

We are a family of 7 adults and two infants. We have just returned from the property and cannot recommend it highly enough. The facilities were great, the play area for the children so handy and ks the hot tub relaxing after a day's sightseeing. The perfect base for our first Cornish stay cation.

Hellfire Jack's is one of several on site, although is largest. All others face into a quadrangle whereas this doesn't giving more privacy, especially when in garden and hot tub. Four poster bedroom is huge with lovely ensuite bathroom, with one other ensuite double, two twins and another double with two further bathrooms. Kitchen is great, with laRead morerge dining table and very well equipped with lots of plates, saucepans etc. We went walking locally and further afield, so much to do in Cornwall! Hide
