Traditionally decorated with a ton of original features, this converted farmhouse property offers you and your group the chance to step back in time and enjoy some of the simpler things in life. For example, the majestic open-plan living space is separated by an authentic stone fireplace with wood burner set inside, perfect for curling up by the warmth of an open flame and chatting away come the evening. Stone flagged flooring unites the kitchen, lounge and dining room, whilst a look out of any of the windows or the French doors allows you to admire the stunning mountain views that the Lake District is well known for. Of course, during warm and sunny weather you'll be able to appreciate these views even more from the garden. This enclosed space, set to lawn, features an outdoor dining table for al fresco evenings, no doubt accompanied by good food or a local tipple. As night falls, you'll be pleased to find four bedrooms laid out across the ground and first floor. Although all of these are equally comfortable, two of the bedrooms do benefit from sumptuous king-size beds that you can sink into and dream of days just passed.

This property was perfect for a large family get together, with spectacular views over Skiddaw, and only 3 miles into Keswick. Braithwaite is within walking distance, where the Coledale Inn looked after us very well. The cooking, sitting and eating areas were ideal, with the added bonus of the small snug room for watching TV or reading. The beds weRead morere very comfortable, with lovely bed linen. Hide

This is a stunning property in an idyllic location. So quiet! Comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breathtaking views and plenty of walks locally. Great weather meant we used the lovely garden, enjoying the sound of the stream. Useful being close to Keswick. We loved it. Well definitely be back. Thank you.

We had a lovely stay at Hallgarth Barn and it was ideal for our two families. The cottage is cosy and has everything you could need. The location is excellent with beautiful views outside each window, close to Keswick but very peaceful and quiet. The weather was a bit wet so we didnt get to make the most of the garden but the outside space is greatRead more. We would definitely stay again and recommend for other families too. Hide

This is an excellent property with fantastic views and facilities. A great centre for walking and discovering the northern and western lakes. It provided a wonderful temporary home for a three generational family gathering.

This is a very spacious, characterful, comfortable and warm property. The location is excellent, being only a short drive from Keswick with its very attractive and bustling shops and amenities , but in a very quiet, yet accessible spot with glorious views of the hills.
