Attractive barn conversions located on a working farm in North Devon, with a children’s play area and access to farm land.

Relax with your family and friends at this traditional barn conversion, near West Putford, 6 miles from Bideford. Sleeping up to eight guests and also welcoming three of your favourite furry friends, the property is well situated for exploring the North Devon countryside. One of three holiday barns on a working farm site, the four-bedroom property has shared access to a children’s play area. Wander the grounds here to see the farm animals and even gather eggs. Plan days out together to sandy beaches and pretty coves or head into Bideford to browse in the shops and dine out in restaurants.

Arrive at your beautiful barn to find welcoming accommodation set across two storeys. Make your way into the cosy open-plan lounge/diner, where you can light the wood burner and relax together at the end of exciting days out. Watch TV in here too or perhaps take turns in choosing a DVD. Find a table at one end of the room, where you can enjoy happy holiday meals together or sit to play games. Take two steps down and find yourselves in the kitchen, where another table is positioned. Pause here with a hot cup of tea and homemade biscuit before setting to and preparing dinner for the group. Everything you need to cook up a feast with your own ingredients can be found here. One of your four bedrooms, and its en-suite shower room and WC, are also on the ground floor. Head upstairs to the other three, which share a family bathroom, with a WC and shower over the bath. Spill out into your private garden area on sunny days; sizzle supper on the BBQ or have a last sundowner before heading into bed. Wander the grounds as you choose and find there is also a family room, with TV, wood burner and kitchen facilities, available to parties booking more than one holiday barn. There is generous parking on site and storage for bikes and other outdoor equipment.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

This is a great barn conversion and the owners were very welcoming and accommodating of our needs and accepted three dogs. Good standard of accommodation in a relaxing location.

This lounge/ dining area in this cottage would have been a tight fit for 8 people, however it is in a lovely peaceful location, and comfortable for 5 and a dog which was the number in our group. The house is very rustic and lots of space for a big family. The location is very remote which is relaxing but if you do like day trips be prepared to have to drive quite a way and on country roads. We had warm scones on arrival which was really nice touch!! Was quite pricey for what it was but maybe more money this year because of covid

Great Eckworthy was very rural which we loved. It was a lovely get away. The cottage provided 6 adults 2 kids and 2 dogs with plenty of space and the kitchen had all equipment you could need. We had a great time. It was the perfect spot to escape to. The Thresing was well equipped and with the 7 of us we never felt we were on top of each other. The kids loved the daily feeding of the chickens. There was plenty to see and do and the owners gave us some good tips on places to go.

The freshly baked scones, jam and cream on arrival were a real treat. Its was a very cosy cottage, there was even a Christmas Tree adding an extra homely touch. Make sure you use Google maps and not a SavNav to get there.
