This handsome home stands overlooking the river and the little white town of Bideford. A short walk to the quayside with shops, pubs and restaurants, or a short drive to the sandy beach of Westward Ho! Ideal for groups of friends or families

Book a superb group stay at this splendid, seven-bedroom property in Bideford and gaze out across the river from the lawn in front of the house. Sleeping up to 16 guests, in seven bedrooms, and also welcoming a duo of dogs, this gorgeous, character property is ideal for an extended family break, three or four families together or a party of friends eager to holiday in Devon. Enjoy it as a base from which to explore the delightful town and to get about and about along this picturesque stretch of coast. Find yourselves with easy access to beautiful beaches too, including famous Westward Ho! with its long stretch of golden sand. Return home to bubble in the hot tub.

Make your way inside to discover a reception hall complete with piano. Stroll on through to the kitchen/diner, which overlooks the river and has a walk-in larder. Make everyone a cup of tea in here to enjoy either inside or out and then unpack your fresh Devon produce and decide what impressive dishes you are going to produce for dinner. When the feast is ready, call everyone through to join you at the table. Find you also have a handy utility room, plus a conservatory, where you can retreat to take in the beautiful vistas when you fancy some peace and quiet. The lounge is also a tranquil place with scenic views. Gather in here too to watch the Smart TV together. Also downstairs are a cloakroom, WC and twin bedroom with en-suite wet room and zip-and-link beds that can be arranged together as a king-size in advance. Venture upstairs to find a triple room, with three single beds, and two king-size rooms with a Jack and Jill bathroom, with free-standing bath. On the floor above, where the accommodation can be self-contained if needed, there is another triple room, with three single beds, plus a double and a family bathroom. There is also a kitchen up here and a lounge/games room, with Smart TV and mini pool table. Spill out into the garden on fine days: light the BBQ, fire up the hot tub and gaze out over the river. Find there is a garage, with space for cycles and surfboards, as well as a table tennis table. The property has parking for up to four cars.

Spend time in the pretty, coastal village of Appledore, just 3.5 miles from your holiday home. This is known for its pretty streets and enticing shops and galleries. During the high season, catch the ferry from Appledore over to Instow, where there is another lovely, sandy Devon beach to enjoy.

Absolutely beautiful house and views, David was very welcoming and accommodating. We arrived earlier than the check in time but luckily the cleaning was done and we were able to enjoy the house earlier than planned! It was in perfect walking distance from the pubs / shops which was lovely, slight incline on the hill up to the house but defiantly woRead morerth it with the view you get from the house! Would 100% recommend to stay here! Hide

The house was lovely, comfortable, well equipped and clean. The pictures dont do justice to how large and airy it is. Lovely gas bbq and games. Hot tub is large and fabulous. 6-8 people/kids. Great for sunset dips. Some good takeaways nearby and lots of great outings close too. We missed the Italian in town for a large group to eat in,, book early.Read more Lats of space on the driveway.
