Set against a backdrop of stunning countryside, this superb property has a traditional exterior and lots of exquisite details including underfloor heating, lavish furniture and stylish decor. Whether you are sinking back against the scatter cushions of the lounge corner sofa or unwinding in the atmospheric woodland-themed room, you’ll be sure to do so in comfort and with a glass of wine in hand. Your entire group will find catering a breeze in the kitchen/diner, using the five-ring gas hob, two electric ovens, American style fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and coffee machine to satisfy all your culinary needs. There’s a utility room for taking care of laundry, and the separate WC is also useful for large groups. Your sleeping arrangements can be tailored to suit your needs with two family suites to choose from as well as a quad room, a room with three single beds and two large double rooms with ample space for a travel cot. The handy annexe and one of the family bedrooms boast a sofa bed apiece. In terms of washing facilities, there are four bathrooms in total comprising two gorgeous bathrooms complete with baths for soaking and a separate shower, and en-suites in two of the bedrooms. Discover the landscape that inspired Rudyard Kipling in the Sussex Weald, visiting the author’s former home at Bateman’s National Trust, 3 miles away. Liberally dotted with ancient remnants and chocolate box villages, this gorgeous combination of woodland, green pastures and heathland is a delight to explore with a generous picnic in tow. Change pace and head for the coast, embracing the cosmopolitan vibe of Brighton, 32.5 miles away, and the traditional seaside charm of Hastings and Eastbourne, both easily reached within 25.5 miles. A lovely, spacious, well equipped, comfortable house. Super views from all sides. Great to plunge in the bubbling hot tub after exploring this beautiful county.

This is a stunning property and situated in a beautiful location. Would definitely recommend stay here. It was a very relaxing and peaceful place. It was very well equipped. We took stuff with us that we did not need as it was already in the property. Will definitely be coming back.

Forge House is a fantastic holiday rental for 12 people. The layout of the house is great. The double bedrooms in particular are enormous. Lovely big kitchen/dining area with fantastic views.

We had a fabulous 3 night stay at Forge House for my 50th birthday. The property inside and out exceeded expectations and the view and surroundings were beautiful. Forge House is truly beautiful. The location is one of a kind, we sat in the kitchen and watched deer go past in the field behind. A wonderful cottage with exceptional spaces and plenty of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Even plastic cups and glasses for use in the hot tub! The downstairs areas are brilliant from the concertina dorrs in the kitchen/dining area to the large bee room with log burner. All the bedrooms are well equipped with two having en-suite facilities.Read more The annex is brilliant for teenagers and the surrounding fields are a joy to behold. Really lovely well laid out house. The bedrooms are all really good sizes. Its pretty remote so extremely peaceful! Shops and pubs are all a 10/15 minute drive but train station is only a 5 minute drive with a nice cafe. Well equipped and maintained well!

An excellent and spacious house. Very well equipped. In a lovely quiet location. Perfect for walks. Bedrooms and bathrooms well designed and equipped and perfect for a large party. The owners provide a very useful file with information on local facilities and also a generous welcome pack. Lucy, the owner, is very friendly and helpful.

The location immediately made us feel like we'd got away from the world and was very calming. The house makes an immediate impact with a clean, modern and light kitchen and dining area which was the hub of socialising and cosy sitting rooms for relaxing. Bedrooms were all very nice. Really fantastic property in a beautiful secluded countryside location. We stayed here for a big family gathering with range of ages and it worked really well. Kids loved the bunk beds.
