Sitting proudly within extensive enclosed gardens, this enchanting lodge was originally built in 1856 and has since been transformed into a lavish holiday home within 30 miles of Aberdeen. The local area is brimming with glorious scenery, charming towns and plenty to see and do. Visit the beach or take a dip in the open-air pool in Stonehaven (5 miles), or spend an afternoon wandering around Dunnottar Castle.


After crunching up the gravel driveway, enter through the hallway to be welcomed by sophisticated decor and beautiful furnishings, ensuring a unique and luxurious stay. Classic and antique features mix with contemporary updates, hinting at the building's rich history but keeping your comfort and convenience at the forefront. Adorned with twinkling chandeliers, damask wallpapers and wing-back seating, you're surrounded by upscale elegance whether you're snuggled by the open fire in the drawing room or discovering a new book in the library/lounge while the wood burner roars. For some extra privacy, the study also has its own wood burner, so you can tuck yourself away for some all-important you time. The lavish dining room is a grand setting for a dinner party, with its silk drapes and open fire set in a black marble fireplace, but if it's a less formal setting you're after, dine in the kitchen/diner. The kitchen is well-equipped with large fridges and freezers, a range cooker and two dishwashers making mealtimes a breeze, but if you'd prefer, a full catering service and housekeeping can be arranged at additional cost. The rich, dark colour palette in here is complemented by bright French doors that lead out into the gardens for al fresco meals in warmer months. As well as all this, the ground floor also comprises a games room including a pool table, utility room, pantry, cloakroom with WC and a gun room. Upstairs, seven uniquely styled bedrooms all have their own en-suite facilities. The master boasts a super king-size bed, views over the gardens and a roll-top bath in the en-suite that adds to the boutique feel. Five of the other bedrooms are doubles, and one is a twin, all beautifully decorated. There is also a winter sitting room with a wood burner and sofa bed, making cosy accommodation for two more people or a snug little nook in which to put your feet up.


The property benefits from large enclosed gardens and woodland, with plenty of space for dogs to roam and children to play. Take a picnic out onto the lawns to make the most of sunny days. Theres plenty of parking available on the driveway at the front of the house.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Alternatively, head 3.5 miles down the coast to Inverbervie Beach, a wide shingle beach that's popular for fishing and boasts close proximity to an award-winning fish and chip shop. On the way home, be sure to stop by the historic Kinneff Old Church (2 miles).

Those looking to hike or mountain bike will enjoy the close proximity of mountains Scolty Hill (23 miles), Kerloch (22 miles) and Carmont Hill (6.5 miles), while those looking for a more laid back experience may want to visit the local golf club (8 miles).

For fans of Scotland's alcohol exports, you'll find six whisky and gin distilleries within 25 miles of your doorstep, all worth a tour or a tasting visit. You're also a mere 20 miles away from the vibrant city of Aberdeen, where you'll find a host of independent eateries and bars to while the night away.
