This attractive property offers spacious accomodation, a large garden with beautiful mountain views and storage for bikes

Experience an undisturbed retreat in the heart of the Duddon Valley, staying together in a converted farmhouse that’s been lovingly updated to suit any modern holidaymaker. Perfect for intergenerational groups of family or friends, this holiday cottage promises to elevate your Lake District stay to one you won’t quickly forget. Whether you’re sunning yourselves in the enclosed gardens or getting cosy in the snug, the luxurious elements of this accommodation make this place a truly stand-out Cumbrian base for any group of eight. Ideally suited to those eager to explore the area on foot or two wheels, this versatile space welcomes three pups for dog-walking adventure retreats and boasts generous storage space for keeping mountain bikes securely stashed away.

Despite its overall contemporary styling, the decor in this converted farmhouse is punctuated by original features that remind you of the rich history these four walls bear. 18th-century beams meet feature fireplaces and low, sloping ceilings to add to the character of this accommodation. There’s always a cosy space to unwind when making yourselves at home in the lounge, complete with plenty of comfortable seating for curling up in and an open fire that’s a godsend on cold evenings. In warmer weather, you might prefer to relax in the sunroom and admire far-reaching views, whilst balmy summer evenings are always best spent alfresco in the garden. When it’s time for bed, you’ll be pleased to find four versatile bedrooms, two of which feature zip-and-link beds that accommodate a variety of different guest makeups. Rest weary muscles and enjoy a great night’s sleep before heading downstairs in the morning, firing up the Nespresso coffee machine and unfurling maps on the table in the kitchen/diner to plan for action-packed days ahead.

A beautifully renovated holiday home, in a very quiet and scenic part of the lake district. Added bonuses were the walks from the cottage and the very dog friendly and welcoming pub within easy walking distance. We will certainly recommend this cottage to our family and friends.

This was an exceptional place to stay - it was spacious, spotlessly clean, extremely well-equipped and unique in several ways. We quickly felt at home and had a very special and enjoyable visit. It was a slightly more remote and quiet location for us, with wonderful views, but was also a great jumping off point to explore stunning parts of the LakeRead more District not seen before. Communication with the owners was very good and straightforward. Definitely recommended, and we hope to visit again. Hide

Esp Hall is a fantastic place to stay. We had such a relaxing, chilled out time when we stayed over Christmas 2021, just what we needed. The extra touches of homemade decorations, Christmas tree, champagne and little presents for the dogs were very much appreciated by us all.
