One of the most sympathetically restored Grade I Listed, 16th Century farmhouses in Cornwall, forming part of Port Eliot Estate. Perfect for a special occasion or simply to take time out to relax in tranquil privacy.

This 16th-century manor is a Grade I-listed property, sitting in secluded splendour on the Port Eliot Estate. Surrounded by the lush countryside of Cornwall, with the sea a mere 5 miles to the south, this elegant farmhouse is the ideal retreat for you and your lucky bunch of friends and family. Make it a party — the festive reception rooms are bursting with character old and new and when you’ve tired out your company, seven grand and restful bedrooms offer an inspiring night’s sleep. The grounds around the estate are spectacular in themselves and beyond, the pretty village of St German and the beaches of Seaton and Whitsand Bay are yours to explore.

The house itself is a handsome farmhouse, artfully restored to showcase original features in a new light. Enter to discover the lounge, a cosy retreat with a piano and fireplace perfect for a knees-up. The country kitchen is a welcoming meeting place with an electric Aga and American-style fridge/freezer so you can cook up a feast for the troops. Head to the formal dining room, the grand hall, to mark the occasion. It’s a magnificent space with a feature fireplace and long, party-perfect table. Explore pretty staircases and hallways to discover gorgeous bedrooms tucked away on each level of the house. A four-poster super-king with en-suite bathroom is just one of the highlights. It’ll be difficult to choose just before bedtime so make sure you get first dibs on your favourite room early! Other gems abound in this house, including a cinema room, and outside, the grounds of the Port Eliot Estate are yours to roam.

A well preserved old farmhouse providing plenty of space for large gathering in the depths of Cornish countryside. We enjoyed the characterful and historic setting, The modern facilities including a hot tub and lots of hot water for showers and baths. Not far from beautiful beaches and easy access to A38.
