Treat yourselves to a sumptuous group stay at this splendid Scottish holiday home near Aberuthven, just 5 miles from the celebrated Gleneagles golf resort. Sleeping eight guests, and also welcoming a trio of happy hounds, the stylish, four-bedroom property has been carefully designed to make the most of its scenic, rural surroundings, and to offer luxury at every turn. Soak in the hot tub as you take in the views, enjoy a BBQ with your friends and family in the outdoor entertaining area or head to your private gym to work out for a while. Go salmon and sea trout fishing on the River Earn at Kinkell Bridge, 3.5 miles away, or plan a day out for your party in Perth, about 10 miles away.

Enter the property via the reception hall, hanging your outerwear and leaving your shoes as you pass. Make your way into the chic, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner to unwind together after your busy day out. Find a film to enjoy on the Smart TV, with Bose surround sound and soundbar, play a game or two or discuss your plans for the following day. Head to the well-designed kitchen area to prepare meals for your party then lay the table in the dining area and call everyone to come and sit down. Find you have high-tech gadgets, such as an American-style fridge/freezer with water and ice dispenser, as well as a wine cooler for chilled drinks, and a dishwasher to ease the clearing up in the kitchen. There is also a utility room, with a useful washing machine and tumble dryer, and a boot room, where your canine companions can be rubbed down after long walks. Before turning in for the night, head to the gorgeous family bathroom to have a long, hot bubble bath in the sunken bath. Then lay your head in one of the two king-size bedrooms, the twin or the super-king-size, with Smart TV, doors to the terrace and en-suite shower room. Head out to use the well-equipped gym whenever you choose and fire up the hot tub afterwards. Light the BBQ on balmy evenings and take in the views over a cocktail as the sun goes down. The property is surrounded by rolling hills and open countryside, providing you with ample walking trails directly from your front door. Heading further afield, the edge of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park is 27 miles away, where you’ll find wild, dramatic landscapes of snow-capped mountains and glass-like lochs.

Keen foodies must take a trip into the bustling town of Crieff (10.5 miles). This traditional Scots market town has become a real food capital over the years, with a wide range of independent eateries serving tasty local delicacies. The town is also home to Scotland’s oldest library and an excellent distillery.

The famous Gleneagles Hotel is 7 miles from the holiday cottage. Play a round of golf on one of its three immaculate courses or spend the day trying one of the many activities on offer, including archery, clay shooting, horse riding, and fishing. Alternatively, unwind in the luxurious spa.

Scone Palace (16 miles) makes a great day out. The magnificent fortress is an ancient crowning place of Scottish kings and a wander around its opulent rooms provides a fascinating insight into the pomp and circumstance of a by-gone era. The palace also has stunning grounds to explore, as well as a fabulous adventure playground and maze for little ones.

The vibrant city of Perth is 14.5 miles away and is home to many museums, art galleries, and eateries, as well as the iconic Perth Racecourse.

The cottage itself is generally very impressive apart from a number of issues. Insufficient seating in lounge. The outside area is poorly maintained, the barbecue was in a disgusting condition when we arrived the furniture and hot tub looked dirty and uncared for. We had an amazing stay, so luxurious with modern technology. Wished we stayed longer as a week felt not enough to enjoy what the house offer. We will definitely come back.

Great Hi-Tec cottage. Very comfortable and cosy. Great enclosed garden for the dog to enjoy her freedom in safety. Lovely countryside views to watch the local wildlife.

Just want to say Earnvale was amazing. The facilities were outstanding and the house was perfect. 7 adults, 1 child and 1 dog stayed here and we were delighted on arrival when we saw that the pictures on the website were exactly what the house was like.
