Renovated in 2022, a stylish listed residence with a social garden and hot tub, this really is a fantastic base for families coming together.

Enjoy a wonderful stay in Cornwall when you escape to this impressive, four-bedroom, stone house in St Stephens, approximately 1 mile from the centre of Launceston. Sleeping eight guests, and also welcoming one canine companion, the immaculate house offers bright accommodation, an attractive, spacious garden with a hot tub and fire pit and access to shops, eateries and many beauty spots and attractions. From here, organise group trips for your extended family or friends to Bodmin Moor, about 10 miles away, to go walking or cycling through its dramatic landscape. Venture about 16 miles for days out along the coast or 13 miles to reach the fringes of scenic Dartmoor National Park.

Enter this gorgeous house to find a plethora of elegant features enhanced by stylish, understated decor. Head on through to the kitchen to prepare tasty meals with the fresh produce you have bought at local shops and market stalls. Set the table in the impressive dining room as you listen to the Bluetooth radio. Gather here for lively holiday feasts then make your way into the lounge to watch the Smart TV as the wood burner crackles in the background. Also at ground-floor level, find you have a utility room, with washing machine and dryer, perfect for beach wear and walking gear, and a WC. Head upstairs at the end of each exciting day to lay your head in either one of the two double bedrooms or the super-king, which can also be arranged as a twin if requested in advance. There is also a bunk bedroom for younger members of the group. One of the double bedrooms has an en-suite shower room and there is a family bathroom with claw-foot, slipper bath. Spill out into the beautiful garden to bask in the Cornish sunshine. Have lunch out on the terrace, light the BBQ in the evening and fire up the hot tub so you can relax in its bubbling heat. Sit round the fire pit as the sun goes down and the stars come out. Find parking for one car at the house, with additional space on the road, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Overall the house and gardens are lovely. Garden furniture in need of a good clean. Where the house is situated (far from the town center) you definitely need a car. 30 minutes from Bude and 55 minutes away from Padstow.

Not as much of a rural/remote setting as we had envisaged but beautiful home and garden. Close to all amenities and very comfortable for 8 people.
