A great house, it was perfect for our get together, we loved the log burner. There is plenty of room in the dining room to sit around the large table for meals. Parking was difficult but we used the bus mostly so it wasnt too bad. There are some lovely takeaways and pubs in Appledore.

It is in a really lovely situation being right near the front but still has privacy. Garden really good and sheltered from the sea winds. There were a couple of minor problems which were quickly sorted out by the maintenance person. Yes I would go there again

Docton House was so good because it was roomy, but cosy, traditional, yet well equipped. It has a beautuful view and special courtyard garden. It is very close to the shops but set back so it feels secluded.

Characterful cottage in excellent location. Close to the Quay and shops but quiet and secluded away from the crowds and pubs. Spacious and comfortable. Garden lovely and peaceful. Easy enough to park outside briefly to unload and load luggage but only available parking at Churchfields. But 16.00 for a week is good value. Nicely modernised inside. This house is ideal for all. Comfortable bedrooms, well equipped kitchen. Very clean linen and towels provided. Very good if you are taking a dog as enclosed wall garden very safe. We went in October. Ideal for walking the Tarka Trail and around the North Devon coast. Plenty of places to eat or have a drink in Appledore.

This cottage is in a good location in a picturesque village, very close to the estuary and several places to eat. The cottage is spacious and quirky - very old , but comfortable. Constant hot water. Lovely to have the garden space and separate terrace off the kitchen. Perfect location in Appledore - close to restaurants/pubs/grocery store/coffee shops and the quay, but tucked away and peaceful. Parking was manageable - free on the street or a low cost car parkRead more close by. Hide
