Located on the beautiful Glencalvie estate, this remote shooting lodge sits 13 miles from Ardgay, where there is a local shop and cafe. The lodge’s solitary position offers superb wildlife spotting, from red deer to golden eagles. Enjoy breathtaking local walks and savour the peace and quiet. There is fishing on the river Carron that flows through the estate and stalking is also available in season. Further afield, visit the spectacular Falls of Shin near the Kyle of Sutherland or head south to the pretty town of Alness on Cromarty Firth, home to the Dalmore distillery. Golf lovers may enjoy the excellent courses at Tain and Dornoch.

As you enter this traditional stone-built property, you are welcomed into the supremely cosy sitting room. With a roaring log fire in an impressive stone fireplace and high timbered ceiling, this is a wonderful room in which to relax and socialise and enjoy a wee dram or two after a meal at the dining table. The kitchen is well-equipped for creating tasty meals and the utility room is home to a full-size snooker table for some evening entertainment in the absence of a TV or Wi-Fi. Also downstairs are three comfortable bedrooms, two of which have a bath in the bedroom, as well as an en-suite WC and hand basin. Heading upstairs you will find another double room, a twin room, a bathroom with bath and handheld shower, and a lovely sofabed room with beautiful views across the hills.

Stroll outside and breathe in the clear Highland air whilst taking in the spectacular views. Watch out for red deer, golden eagles, peregrine falcons and buzzards. There is a lawned area directly outside the property but no formal border and there is ample parking space.
