For get-togethers and special occasions, this wonderful property, sleeping 24 guests, boasts spacious accommodation close to the rugged coast and scenic countryside.
For a group looking to explore the Cowal Peninsula and beautiful Argyll countryside, this pretty Victorian house is a great base located in the quaint village of Kirn. Sleeping up to 24 guests across ten bedrooms, this four-storey property comes with three living areas to spread out and relax in.
Keen golfers will love that the local course is just to the back of the property, and as it is set back from the road and has a walled garden surrounding it, the house is a peaceful place to return to after a long day out.
High ceilings, wood-panelled walls, and soft furnishings in deep rich colours give the inside of the property that timeless, classic feel of a traditional country house. Take turns to cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen, complete with a separate pantry to store all your supplies and serve in the dining room. After a meal together, choose between the drawing room and large sitting room for after-dinner conversation and games. Both rooms have a gas coal fire and TV, so you can get comfortable and unwind. There is also a cosy snug with its own multi-fuel stove and TV, perfect for children and teenagers to have their own space of an evening. Climb the stairs to the bedrooms, which are spread over three floors, each of which have their own unique patterns and colour schemes. All but one is en-suite, so you can avoid queues for the bathroom and enjoy a hot shower before getting a good night’s sleep. Outside there is a garden to the front and back of the house, but for privacy head into the back garden. Carry brunch out to the long lawn and terrace and bask in the morning sunshine with a cup of tea.
