Set in a spectacular location on the tranquil Applecross Peninsula, this stunning 1920s house offers glorious views and provides plush, spacious accommodation for a large group or family gathering.

Indulge in a perfectly secluded getaway in one of the most beautiful areas of the Scottish Highlands. Just 4.5 miles from the tranquil shores of the spectacular Loch Kishorn, this traditional house boasts stunning views of the Applecross mountains. Lace-up your walking boots and prepare for adventure, perhaps even hiring a walking guide to discover hidden treasures from your doorstep. Return for an evening of entertainment, gathering your party around the dining table to swap stories and share fabulous food and good wine. Challenge your teammates to a spot of table tennis, snooker or a board game in the games room, or settle in front of the woodburner with a wee dram in hand. For a true slice of luxury, there’s even a sauna for you to rest your weary bones after a busy day.

Bursting with timeless charm, the interior of the house is elegant and simply presented with antique-style furniture, cheerful decor and wooden details such as a grand sweeping staircase, floors, and doorways. Illuminated by old-style lighting, the dining room is fit for a king with ample seating for 16. The spacious kitchen is generously equipped with everything you could possibly need to prepare a feast, including a wonderful AGA-style oven and a prep room for extra special meals. The decision has been made not to include TV signal and coupled with limited Wi-Fi, this makes the property a tranquil haven for reconnecting with loved ones. There is still plenty to entertain what with a well-stocked games room, a library and a selection of DVDs to satisfy any film fanatic. Climbing the grand staircase to the first floor, you’ll find an array of cosy bedrooms, all spacious and full of natural light. Two of the rooms at the front of the property have handy en-suites, with the remainder sharing a generous family bathroom. The rooms to the back of the property share a further two bathrooms, one of which hosts the sauna. For larger parties, there is a separate building with a studio sleeping two, bringing the total number to 18 guests.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Please note there is a refundable £500 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.

If you can't wait to turn off your phone, disconnect and recharge, this is the place to go. Overflowing with possibilities for outdoor activities and flaunting some of the best walks in Europe, you can spend as much or as little time as you please discovering the enchanting surrounds.

For some of the best views in the area, a trip to the famed Bealach na Ba is a must. A winding single-track road built-in 1822, Bealach na Ba zigzags its way through the mountains of the Applecross Peninsula and boasts superb views over Wester Ross and the Scottish Highlands.

Venerated by walkers and cyclers, a trip to the area wouldn't be complete without a hike or two. If you are feeling especially confident, Beinn Bhan is 7.5 miles away and, while this isn't one for novices, rewards experienced walkers with a glorious walk far from the crowds and occasionally graced with magnificent golden eagles.

A little more user-friendly and only 19 miles away, you can pick up the Beinn Eighe Mountain Trail and choose from a number of different routes suitable for all generations. Helped by track signage you can complete a hike to be proud of and enjoy jaw-dropping scenery along the way, followed by a pint in the local pub in Sheildaig (5 miles) or Lochcarron (10 miles)!

The house is beautiful and has amazing views. Lyndsay, the housekeeper, is lovely and very helpful. I would definitely recommend asking her for eggs and her son fishes for lobster and langoustines. The house is huge, due to Covid restrictions we were not allowed to bring friends so there was only 5 of us in there but we made the most of it. The tabRead morele tennis table is a blessing, it kept the kids entertained. The wifi is adequate. I recommend having Netflix on your phone to connect to the TV. Hide
