Escape with your family or friends to this holiday home in Godshill and discover the magic of the Isle of Wight. This four-bedroom holiday home sleeps up to nine guests and welcomes up to three canine companions. Delight in the character of the property, which comes with a small courtyard garden where you and your party can relax out in the sunshine after your busy days out. Make day trips to Shanklin, just 4.5 miles away, to while away the afternoon making castles on the sandy beach and paddling in the sea. Find plenty of family attractions within easy reach to keep all members of your party happy.

Open the door to this pretty stone retreat and wander in to make yourselves feel immediately at home. Head through to the lounge, where you can settle in front of a good film together on the Smart TV. Take your book through to the conservatory instead or wander in there with a cup of tea with other members of your group to discuss your plans for the following day. The chef of your group can head through to the kitchen to start preparing dinner with the ingredients you have bought. They will find everything else they need in here, including a dishwasher so no-one has to roll their sleeves up afterwards. Sit down to enjoy your feast in the dining room. You also have a utility room with washing machine. Also at ground-floor level up one deep step from the conservatory is a king-size bedroom, with additional single bed. Make your way up the cottage-style stairs to the family bathroom, with roll-top bath, and three double bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room. Dine outside in the courtyard on balmy days. Light the BBQ and enjoy relaxing in the heart of Godshill. Find parking for two cars at the rear of the cottage in a shared courtyard and extra space on the road a stroll away.

Amble around Godshill, browsing the shops and perhaps pausing for a cream tea in a cafe. Venture 6 miles into Sandown to spend time on the beach and to walk beside the dramatic sandstone cliffs. Take the younger members of your group to Amazon World Zoo, 3 miles away, or Wildheart Animal Sanctuary, 6.5 miles away. Spend time in the seaside resort of Ventnor, 5 miles away, where you can walk along the promenade, visit Steephill Cove and see the botanic gardens. Have a day out to the theme park at Blackgang Chine, 5.5 miles from the house. Take an 18-mile drive along the island’s coast to reach Alum Bay, with its colourful cliffs, and the famous landmark of the Needles.

A spacious cottage for nine people (adults and teens). Low ceilings in some of the downstairs rooms due to the age of the building, and some steps between rooms. Very comfortable seating areas and bedrooms. Parking spot was very welcome. Lots of hot water for showers which were necessary after some very muddy walks! The location is perfect. What a beautiful, charming home located in the very centre of Godsill, with parking also available behind property. Very quirky, felt very warm and charming. Will certainly look to returning. Beautiful spot in stunning Island.

We loved the quaintness and quirkiness of the cottage. It was clean, bright and airy. Godshill is in easy reach of everything, there are 2 good pubs in the village with great food , very friendly. Bedrooms were spacious and light, beds comfy. No problem parking 2 cars. Some traffic noise, but it didn't disturb us.

This is a fabulous property. Its quirky, comfortable and interesting and right in the centre of Godshill with parking. Its well equipped and if you bring your dogs blankets and rag rugs are provided. Its very clean and well equipped. All the showers are great and the chairs are really comfy. Nicola the owner is a star really helpful and kind.

A really quirky cottage in a fabulous location. Plenty of room to sit and enjoy the sunshine in the sheltered courtyard. We'll equipped kitchen and comfy beds. We'll worth a visit. We really enjoyed our stay at this cosy homely cottage, a relaxing space to be in. I can see that some people may find the kitchen a little small for cooking full meals, but we only used it for breakfast and snacks, as the food available in the village is too good not to enjoy. We would happily stay here again in the future.

We stayed here as 7 adults and 1 child over new year and had a great time. The cottage has all the equipment needed and has a friendly open plan living / dining area. The bedrooms are comfy and well furnished. It was a great base for exploring the island. I would recommend this cottage if you are looking for a relaxed sociable break.

Lovely cottage & the location on the island is the best for getting about. The bus service was excellent. Wether you wish to travel to Yarmouth, Alum Bay & the Needles. Alternatively take the bus to Sandown , Bembridge & Shanklin. The bus is right on your doorstep. Bear in mind the local shop closes earlier than expected. A great place to stay.

This is s quirky charming cottage and we enjoyed our stay,I had the best sleeps ever.The only downside was lots of steps.I am 87 and my son in laws Mother is 86 and so we had to be careful,I just about managed the stairs, but that is a minor detail. Nichola was very charming and went out her way to help. We hada lovely two weeks.

Great place to stay as its a central location to visit many places on the island. A local shop is opposite. The parking at the back is close to the entrance of a restaurant. The house isn't really suitable for elderly people who have limited mobility. There are numerous changes in level including deep step into the downstairs bedroom. Lovely period cottage in a beautiful village and convenient location for exploring the island. Had everything we needed. The living room is a little dark (as expected for an old cottage) but we spent the whole time in the bright, airy conservatory and courtyard garden.

Unfortunately this property is in serious need of a declutter and deep clean! Every nook and cranny is stuffed with ornaments or personal art that just makes this property feel dusty and overwhelming. The fridge and freezer are too small for 8 people. The shower enclosure door is falling off and the step is too high to the ground floor bedroom. MosRead moret furniture is broken, uncomfortable and needs replacing. Rugs on furniture??? Tremendous cottage in a superb location. Just enough gadgets to make living easy but rustic enough to seem natural. The only thing I would say is that the stairs are a bit tricky and wouldn't suit everyone though there is a ground floor bedroom. Really enjoyed our stay here and the pub across the road does lovely grub

I cannot think of anything I would change or add. Nics flexibility and attention to detail was very much appreciated. The house is charming and very well equipped and furnished. Location is great for walking to highly rated pubs and restaurants- Taverners and Tansy Pantry especially.
