This charming West Devon retreat with a private hot tub, lies in the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the borders of Devon and Cornwall. You’re in the heart of mining history with a historic copper site within walking distance and the stannary market town of Tavistock nearby too – the birthplace of Sir Francis Drake (5 miles), and you’re at the gateway to Dartmoor National Park (8 miles). Sleeping eight guests across four bedrooms, it’s ideal for a group of friends or a family who want to catch up and explore this fascinating region together. The friendly owners have thought of everything so that you’ll be ready to relax on arrival.

 

Step into this peaceful haven where relaxed country style and soothing pops of colour make it easy to unwind. Curl up on squishy sofas and lose yourself in a good book. Or in the evening, watch favourite films on the Smart TV. Rustle up delicious meals in the kitchen (which features an electric double oven and hob, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher and a microwave); there’s a door from the kitchen to the garden terrace where you can also dine alfresco. Had a wonderful week away in this amazing cottage, lovely owner very helpful. Hot tub we used everyday despite it being autumn, my three grandsons loved it, as did adults. The cottage cosy, well equipped, comfortable had stunning views, lovely walks, good pub everything at hand. We would love to go back and do it all again. 10 out of 10

Loved loved loved our stay. The house decor is superb, expensive quality of furnishings, masses of attention to detail to make a confortable stay. Spacious cottage set in a gorgeous idealc Quay. Just a shame some of the quay facilities werent yet open from Covid. Would loved to have stayed longer 10/10 for me.

This is a high end, beautiful cottage. You have everything you need right here. If you are travelling with children you are welcome and toys and washing and drying facilities are here. We loved this quirky cottage which is so lovely and would definitely come back.

Property offers everything you would need for a weeks stay, all rooms are of a good size, plenty of living room space and kitchen is nicely laid out and equipped. Location is ideal if you are looking to explore the Moors and the Ship Inn provides excellent meals if you do not want to eat in.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay here. The lovely old cottage has been beautifully and sympathetically modernised to make a spacious, comfortable and welcoming holiday home. We had an amazing holiday in this lovely and very spacious cottage. There was everything we could wish for and more for adults and children. The location is wonderful as it is only 10 minutes away from Tavistock. It is also only 2 minutes walk to the pub which serves delicious local cider and food at a very reasonable price. The host was very frienRead moredly and responded very promptly to any queries. The cottage was also exceptionally clean. We would definitely recommend this lovely cottage. Hide

We had a fantastic week at Chapel Cottage. The accommodation was so comfortable and provided everything we needed and the hot tub was a real bonus. We enjoyed drinks and dinners in the Ship, a trip to Bicton gardens and the guys had a great day at Teign Valley a Golf Club. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend this place.

What a wonderful place ! You could not fault the location or the property. The owners were brilliant and helpful and I cannot reccomend this cottage highly enough. It was modern, comfortable, spottlessly clean and had just about everything you could ever need whilst feeling homely. A lovely spacious, comfortable well furnished and equipped cottage. Hot tub was very relaxing. Set in a peaceful location and food at The Ship Inn was very good. The owners were very friendly, welcoming and helpful and always available if we needed anything. Highly recommend.
