This traditional Lakeland family home enjoys a prime location in the centre of Keswick. The property sleeps eight guests across four bedrooms, and is perfect for families and groups of friends who love outdoor adventure. The area is awash with walking trails, from the dizzying heights of Skiddaw to the majestic shores of Derwentwater, and you can try a whole host of activities nearby, including paddleboarding and rock climbing. After an action-packed day, return to your cosy holiday home for a delicious meal by the wood burner, or an evening of al fresco dining under the stars on the roof terrace.

Enter the three-storey townhouse through the courtyard garden and into the lobby, where you can store all your outdoor gear. The property is decorated in a contemporary style, whilst still retaining many of its original features, and gorgeous oak flooring runs throughout the ground floor with cosy underfloor heating. The sociable, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is at the heart of the home; perch at the breakfast bar with a glass of wine whilst the dinner cooks, share memorable mealtimes at the dining table, and chill out in the lounge area to watch the SkyTV. The whole space is kept warm and toasty by a roaring wood burner. From the kitchen, a step leads up to the entrance hall and front door. Completing the ground floor is a handy shower room. Heading upstairs, discover two delightful bedrooms: the first is a king-size and the second is a bunk bedroom. There is also a stylish family bathroom on this level. The remaining bedrooms – a king-size and a twin – are located on the second floor, along with another bathroom. From this floor, you can access the incredible roof terrace, which boasts magnificent views of the surrounding fells. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a sundowner and reflect on an amazing holiday. There is also outdoor furniture in the enclosed courtyard to the front of the property, where you can sip a morning coffee and watch the world go by.

Beautiful property. Everything you need. Loved the boot room , come utility room. My daughter loved the drying cabinet. Ideal with 2 young boys. We didnt get to use the 2 outdoor seating areas because of the weather, hopefully we will when we book again. Parking was a bonus too.

Century House was lovely - well-equipped, very clean and really comfortable. The location made it a great base for exploring Keswick by foot and beyond by car. The boot room and drying cupboard were very handy for the fairly wet week we had, and all the bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and really nicely appointed. We would love to return!
