The popular Cradoc Golf Club is nearby (2 miles), where you can take part in a day’s golf or enjoy a drink or a meal in the friendly club house. The thriving market town of Brecon (3 miles) has a range of great independent shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as a cathedral, leisure centre, theatre and a 1930s-style cinema. There are miles of walks and cycle trails for walkers and nature-lovers to follow, with local attractions including the remains of the Iron Age fort at Pen-y-Crug (4 miles), the former Roman garrison site at Y Gaer (3.5 miles), the highest peak in southern Britain, Pen y Fan (9 miles) and the popular Llangorse Lake (10 miles).
The spacious lounge has been cosily furnished and features a wood burner set in an impressive stone fireplace. This is a lovely space to relax in at the end of a great day, with plenty of seating, a TV with DVD and a pool table to keep you occupied. The attractive country-style kitchen/diner is equipped with an oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, with a central dining table providing the ideal space for sharing all your favourite family meals. The utility room provides a useful area for drying coats and boots, and leads through to a WC which also houses the washing machine. Going upstairs, there are four comfortable bedrooms, decorated in cool, restful tones. There are three double bedrooms, each with walk-in cupboards. Two of these rooms have views over the Brecon Beacons towards Pen y Fan. One of the doubles also has its own en-suite shower room. You will also find a charming twin bedroom. The family bathroom is complete with a shower, bath and WC.
The enclosed garden offers plenty of space for children and pets to run free and has a patio with garden furniture and a BBQ so you can enjoy dining al fresco. There’s also a paddock available for guests bringing a horse along.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
