This comfortable, traditional Scottish self-catering property boasts wonderful views across a country estate to the Cuillin Mountains, Skye and the hills of Raasay. Sleeping eight guests across four bedrooms, the lodge forms part of Applecross House, which can be rented separately or with the neighbouring house to form a larger property with interconnecting passage. Inside, the accommodation is fresh and neutral with a cosy woodburner in the lounge and a range oven in the traditional kitchen/diner. Set out on foot to explore the estate, looking out for resident Highland cattle and wild deer along the way, or pop into nearby Applecross to enjoy a hearty meal at the pub (2.5 miles).

Inside, this property has been tastefully decorated and furnished to offer spacious, neutral and airy accommodation for families or friends. Rustle up delicious meals in the traditional kitchen/breakfast room, where you will find an electric oven and an oil-fired Range-style cooker, before sitting down to eat in the separate dining room. After meals, hunker down on the inviting sofas in the cosy lounge while the woodburner roars away nearby. Enjoy an evening of board games with the family or prepare some popcorn and make the most of the TV and DVD player available. Suitable for guests of limited ability, two bedrooms and a bathroom are located on the ground floor, while the king size and triple bedrooms can be found upstairs. While there is no mobile reception at the property, Wi-Fi is included, and a payphone is available should you need it.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The cottage was spotless, really spacious and probably the best equipped kitchen with regard to any previous cottage we have stayed in. To have the local red deer grazing on the lawns was special for us townies. If you like walking and wildlife this is the place for you.

Fantastic holiday cottage. We loved the house, facilities and location. Our family would be very happy to travel back to Bramble Lodge again for another holiday, any time. We mainly self-catered, but also enjoyed dining out at the local Potting Shed Restaurant (a special treat) and at the Applecross Inn (fabulous food and service). Appreciate the peace and tranquility, though in autumn the Deer rutting season starts so be prepared for noisy deer outside at night and close to the cottage. Dogs are restricted to the kitchen and utility areas, not an issue for us, and dogs loved the heat from the Aga. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with separate lounge and dining room, theRead more kitchen is huge and well appointed. Hide
