The cottage is nestled in the traditional rural fishing village of Bucks Mills, which is situated within the North Devon Coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Surrounded by National Trust woodlands, a walker’s paradise, only steps to magnificent coastal clifftop walks and winding woodland paths. Enjoy a wealth of local tourist attractions in the area. The Big Sheep is a short drive, as is the cobbled streets of Clovelly, Rosemoor Gardens, Dartington Crystal and more. When you've finished all those, fall asleep in peaceful serenity with the sounds of a babbling brook and owls hooting in the woods.

Enter this delightful cottage into the welcoming lounge with comfy sofa’s set-in front of the warming wood burner. Here is a great space to relax after a day of exploring the beach or surrounding woodland, to watch your favourite movie on the TV/DVD. Set off the lounge, you will enter the kitchen/diner, which is well-equipped with oil-fired Redfyre stove, microwave/combination oven, washer/dryer, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. Also gather around the dining table which can comfortably seat eight, to enjoy a family meal or a light snack. Back through to the lounge and up the stairs there is a split-level part the way up which leads to the first of the bedrooms, a cosy bunk bedroom, with a sky light which is perfect for star gazing. It also takes you to the shower room with shower and WC. To complete this split level there is a bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Heading back up the stairs to the first floor this is where you will find the remaining three bedrooms, two doubles and a further cosy bunk bedroom, all with views to the front of the cottage garden.

Heading outside via the front door, is a lawn area to the front of the property, then winding around to the back of the property there is a patio area with seating and a charcoal BBQ. There is a narrow path (steep in places) with steps that climbs up behind the cottage to a private hideaway with a day bed. The path continues to the very top of the garden with a children's play tower for all your 'would be' knights and princesses. Please note children must take care. There is roadside parking for one car directly outside the property with further available along this no through road, which is quiet as it accesses the properties in the village only. There is also a public car park 200 yards up the road.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Lovely traditional cottage. Good location for amazing walks and accessibility to beaches. Local shop for essentials. Beds a little uncomfortable but if you are a heavy sleeper you'll be fine.

The cottage is perfect for 2 families (and a dog!). It has enough space to all eat and sit together and 2 bathrooms are great. The kids rooms are in the small side but not too small. The location is fab, walk to the beach in under 5 mins and very safe, kids walked back to cottage alone. G&T spot on the garden chairs a great place to unwind.

This cottage was perfect for our two small and young family groups. The children loved the garden and also playing hide and seek around the house. It comes with a nice multi room Sonos system and also a nest system. So both modern and traditional. Some nice walks to be had and only a short walk to the beach. Be aware that the national trust coastalRead more walks are quite steep and do require a decent level of fitness. The property could have been cleaner for sure however we booked last min for new year Hide
