You will find the remarkable open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner on the first floor – perfectly positioned to provide the ultimate dinner backdrop. Floor-to-ceiling feature windows flood the room with natural light, while rich, soft furnishings and original details provide a welcoming spot to put your feet up and unwind. On summer days, pull back the bi-folding doors and breathe in the fresh country air, stepping onto the patio for an al fresco dinner – firing up the charcoal BBQ – or simply drinks after a busy day exploring the picturesque area. Find the second lounge area on the ground floor, where you can light the wood burner on cool evenings and snuggle up with a film, enjoying a little peace and quiet. The cosy bedrooms enjoy spectacular views, from the twin room on the ground floor, to the three first floor bedrooms; the master even has a Juliet balcony. You will find a traditional pub here too, with more eateries, shops and attractions in the charming neighbouring town of Dartmouth (2 miles). As one of South Devon's most popular and enchanting towns, you will love discovering the rich history and heritage of the area; no trip here is complete without visiting Dartmouth Castle (8 miles), or Agatha Christie's Greenway National Trust Holiday Home (16.5 miles). For a more action-packed stay, try paddle boarding or kayaking at the stunning Blackpool Sands beach (8 miles), or enjoy a slower pace as you relax on the golden sands. Woodlands Adventure Park (4.5 miles) and Paignton Zoo (12.5 miles) are also close by too, providing fun days out the whole family will adore.

We absolutely loved Beach End. The location, house, and village were all perfect for a January break. I would imagine the village/river are very busy in the summer. Also loved Dartmouth & Brixham. We really couldn't fault it at all once we had got our heads around the high tides !!

Beautiful house in a magnificent position with exquisite views. The property is exceptionally well equipped and the quality of the bedding and towels were excellent. Local ferry service across the river to Greenway (3/adult each way) is excellent, as was the ferry service into Dartmouth (10/adult return). The cottage is spacious and well kept. The situation on the river front has stunning views, we didn't want to leave! We found the local people most welcoming, the Inn just 100 mts or so away was also friendly and beautifully situated on the beach front. You need to be reasonably fit to endure the hike involved in reaching it but we all agreed it waRead mores worth it for the splendour of the facilities the cottage offered and of course the its situation on the river with its spectacular scenery/views. The location of this property is stunning, great ferry trip to Dartmouth or Greenway. friendly locals and the Ferry Boat Inn was very welcoming. The access is fine you just need to plan your arrival/departure times. We experienced several maintenance issues during our stay and I would strongly recommend taking a good torch with you as the external Read morelights on the steep steps at the back of the property, which are used when the tide is in are not working and it seems this is an ongoing issue. A superb family cottage. We stayed with family and extended family. 7 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs. There was room for everyone to have their own space. The facilities were excellent. An excellent location. Only having vehicle access to the property at low tide was fun. However you need to be aware that food delivery vehicles can not reach the property.

Crabbing & wildlife were brilliant, watching the seals was amazing. As a family, we go away every Easter and ages range from a fit 69 to 1 and the consensus we have never had before is that not one of us would return to this property. A wonderful place, idyllic location, ideally suited to a large group and dogs. As stated, the access does need to be considered and planning around tides necessary as it can be challenging, but the house is worth it. Lovely cottage, great for a special family break, but be very aware of the incredibly difficult drive to get in/out. If you can get onto the beach, you will be lucky to get on/off the drive as the slope is shockingly narrow, but to carry cases and/or young childrens without parking outside, would require everyone to be very fit as it's sharply steeRead morep and means either a muddy back with steep steps or a slippery beach to get to. This property is outstanding. The view from the kitchen is stunning, it is so relaxing sitting looking at the view and watching boats moving about. The house has everything you need equipment wise. All of the bedrooms are spacious and the beds are very comfy. We had a lovely time and thought it was an absolutely wonderful place to stay albeit very remote ( but that is what we wanted ) . The access can be tricky but keep an eye on the tides and you will be just fine - recommend the FBI for great Pizzas and beer .

This is a stunning location, so relaxing. We were a party of 10 adults and we had a fantastic stay. The house is lovely, very well equipped. Fishing every morning, swimming, paddle boarding, boating. Lots of things to do locally too including Agatha Christies holiday home right opposite. We would love to return one day. The only thing to bear in miRead morend is access with shopping etc but as long as you organise around the time times its fine. The local cafe serves excellent food as does the pub. Hide

This property is amazing. Due to its location this is not suitable for anyone that has walking problems as the hill accessing the property has a gradient of 20% . It's a long walk uphill to the level car park. Would advise using the Ham car park as it isn't as steep but further to walk to. Excellent property! Great for groups as there is a lot of space and distance between living space and bedrooms. Dont be put off by the access via the beach, it adds to the charm and is all very easy!

This is a unique experience to stay here and the property has fantastic views. It is extra special as dogs are welcomed and allowed. The cottage is well set up and is a great place to stay. I would thoroughly recommend as a special place to stay. Dittisham is beautiful too.
