For families or groups of friends seeking a spacious rural retreat for a relaxing holiday or special celebration, this fabulous barn conversion in the North Devon countryside boasts a sociable open-plan interior and large garden for games of bowls or croquet. Gather around the elegant dining table for leisurely evening meals and convivial conversation late into the night. Set on a 175-acre working family farm, stretch your legs on a long walk through the farmland and along the footpaths that cross the land.

Retaining many of its original features, your charming barn conversion has a bright and airy feel, offering generous rooms decorated in neutral shades with tasteful soft furnishings and warm wooden accents. Stepping into the property, unpack your provisions in the large farmhouse kitchen. With exposed beams and brickwork, this is a homely room to prepare family meals and is fully equipped with everything you need to cater for your party. Linger over meals in the inviting dining room where French doors fill the room with natural light and offer views onto the garden. After supper, step through the archway into the cosy living room where you can sink into one of the squishy sofas and chat as the logs crackle in the wood burner. When it’s time to retire, head upstairs where you will find the four comfortable bedrooms. The master king-size bedroom is a restful space with exposed stone wall and vaulted ceiling, and benefits from an en-suite shower room with WC. There is a further double room with exposed ceiling beams, a charming twin bedroom with zip-and-link beds that can be presented as a king-size on request and a light and airy bunk room. On this floor is the family bathroom with shower over bath and WC, while downstairs is a shower room with WC.

Venturing outside, sit and enjoy a glass of wine on your enclosed garden patio with ample seating for an al fresco lunch or sociable BBQ. Younger guests will enjoy playing in the Wendy house and on the lawn. Ample parking is available for four cars.
