With four bedrooms and two sofa beds, a snug area that can be opened out into the main open-plan living area and a large enclosed garden, there is ample room for up to 11 guests and two dogs to find their favourite spot to relax in. Enjoy stunning views while you relax in the hot tub, or head out to Grantown-on-Spey, just 3 miles away, where a pub and restaurant as well as cafes will be on hand to refuel you after a long day.

Inside, a bright and airy contemporary style blended with traditional furnishings makes this farmhouse a unique a delightful place to stay. The open plan living area is the hub of the house, offering superb countryside views from one end and a stylish kitchen with everything you need to cook up a storm at the other. The snug area can be kept separate by folding partition doors for a little quiet time away from it all; cosy up in front of the wood burner with a book and a delicious glass of wine. Everyone is catered for here in the Cairngorms National Park, where you'll find outdoors activities for guests of all ages and sporting ability. If golf is your game then you'll be happy to find three golf courses within 6 miles of the property, and if you prefer a relaxing fishing trip then you can fish for trout and salmon on the nearby River Spey (2 miles).

For hiking and mountain biking, head to the Cairngorm's most popular mountain, Ben Macdui, just 19 miles away. This is the second highest mountain in Britain and frequently summited for its remarkable views. If you want to try something that's often unheard of in Britain's mild climates, then head to the Ski and Snowboard School (16 miles), where visitors both experienced and amateur can learn some winter sports skills or hire equipment to take out on the slopes.

Those looking for a more laid-back holiday will also find plenty to do in this Highlands area. Head to the National Park's Reindeer Centre (16 miles) to watch free-roaming reindeer or enjoy a relaxing 3-mile walk to nearby Grantown-on-Spey where you can explore the town museum. This is also the go-to spot for local pubs and a restaurant. Those looking to sample some of Scotland's finest export can also enjoy the local Malt whisky Trail, with the closest distillery just 19 miles from your doorstep.

Amazing cottage in a brilliant location, it is close to all the main areas but remote enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. Brilliant facilities and so clean and tidy. I loved staying here and the owner is so lovely. Would definitely recommend this cottage.

A beautiful property in a lovely location, really enjoyed the hands off approach of the host as it made us feel like it was our home for the week. Garden was amazing for us and our dog and was given some extra fencing to dog proof the gate so he could run around stress free. What a wonderful cottage with fantastic views. It was comfortable and clean. Very spacious, the hot tub was a success and very much appreciated after long walks in the national park. It is well equipped for cooking all varieties of food. The owner was very attentive and nothing was too much.

A beautiful, warm cottage with amazing views, especially from the hot tub! Great situation for mountain bike trails and cycle/hiking routes, and not too far for a day out to Nairn and Inverness. Had a fabulous winter break.

We had a lovely 3 day stay with the family. The weather wasnt great but the cottage has plenty room for everyone. Large garden and nice walks near for the dogs. Very well equipped cottage, all you need and lovely hot tub. Definitely will be back

Wow, this is truly the best holiday cottage I've stayed in. The cottage was incredibly well appointed, with pretty much everything we could think of in the kitchen. We were even able to do some baking on a rainy day. The bedrooms were all good sized and comfortable. The bathrooms are just lovely with great water pressure. Thoroughly enjoyed our family get together at Ballinluig Croft, which was well appointed & had everything we needed. Our Cockapoo loved the secure garden & there were some great forest walks not too far away. We were lucky & had reasonable weather for October. Throughout the week we visited Landmark Adventure Park, Highland Wildlife Park & took a tRead morerip on Strathspey Steam Railway plus visits to Boat of Garten, Aviemore & Grantown on Spey, all are within no more than 20 mins away from Croft. For us this was a perfect property. Very well equipped and very clean and tidy. Hot tub was superb. Beds were comfy and showers great. If you decide on staying here you will NOT regret it. Perfect for peace and quiet and central to some lovely villages and views.

Ballinluig Croft is a perfect holiday destination regardless of weather although we got warm sunshine for the week! It is so spacious and luxurious in an understated way. It is a great size for 8 people and the bedrooms are well spaced out . I think it is the best house we have ever stayed in .

This is one of the best places we have ever stayed. The location is outstanding with beautiful scenery. The property itself is beautiful, and there are lots of extra touches that made our stay even better. The property was extremely clean, beds comfortable and that view its incredible. Stunning property on the edge of the Cairngorms, easy drive to the coast and Inverness. Grantown-on-Spey is an easy drive and a lovely town with plenty of pretty shops and a well stocked Coop. Far more impressive than it appears in the photographs, bedrooms have good quality mattresses. Bathrooms have high pressure showers and lots of hot water. PlRead moreenty of huge towels are provided. Great location. Nice blend of historic Croft house and modern open plan living, stunning views. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. The garden is safe and is ideal for children and pets. The evenings in the hot tub watching the sun descend below the hills were a perfect end to our active days.

Lovely house to stay in which is bigger than the pictures show. Such a high standard of comfort. We felt the beds were super comfy just to reassure you from a previous comment from a customer. Bathrooms all lovely and soooo clean. Views all round the house were lovely. Beautifully restored cottage in a perfect location for exploring the Cairngorms. Very well equipped. The wood burner was lovely in the evenings whilst having a drink and playing board games. The hot tub sits over looking the hills which is stunning. The garden is fully enclosed for pets.

This cottage is fantastic. Not only is it set in a stunning location but the cottage itself is really well designed and was equipped with everything we needed. It is in a great location for short drives to local walks around the lochs and Aviemore. I would not hesitate in booking again.

Our family of five spent a week here and we loved it. The house was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. Our teens loved the hot tub and I enjoyed the peace and the views. We probably wouldnt have normally paid this much for a holiday home but treated ourselves for a lockdown Uk staycation this year. Glad we did as it was lovely.

Great location. Very quiet and relaxing and the hot tub was a real bonus. Great array of games, dvds, books etc and lovely modern kitchen. Beds really uncomfortable and the cooking utensils were quite old and tired. Nice barbecue on site but no idea if we able to use.
