An impressive, four-storey retreat, this attractive Lakeland holiday home is the perfect base for a large family or party of couples. Sleeping eight guests across four bedrooms, it nestles in an enviable position near Ambleside. Stroll less than 0.5 miles to find yourselves in the beating heart of the colourful market town, with its independent shops, cafes and pubs. Venture 1.5 miles to the beautiful lake of Windermere, with its opportunities for hiring boats or taking a cruise. Lace up your boots and head out on magnificent hill walks and fell climbs. Wansfell Pike, with its magical views, is 2 miles away and Loughrigg Fell is a 3.5-mile hike, passing Dockey Tarn and Rydal Cave. Take time out to visit the childhood home of renowned Lake District poet William Wordsworth, 3.5 miles away. Visit Grasmere, a distance of 4 miles, where you can stock up on the village's famous gingerbread.

Enter this lovely retreat and head through to the bright kitchen/diner to unpack the groceries you have bought in town. The kitchen is a light. Bright space with farmhouse-style design and there is a handy breakfast table for casual dining and unwinding over a cup of tea. An inviting lounge/diner, where you can sit down to your holiday feasts, play board games at the table and gather round a glowing wood burner on soft seating, is conveniently adjacent. Take a few steps down from the kitchen into the utility room to wash and dry your holiday wear. The main lounge, where there is another wood burner, is up on the first floor. Settle in here for movie nights in front of the Smart TV or with a DVD playing. One of your bedrooms, a king-size, and a family shower room are also on the floor. Climb the stairs to find two more bedrooms, a twin and another king-size, each with an en-suite bathroom. Your final bedroom is on the lower ground floor, accessed by steep stairs and with a low ceiling. This king-size bedroom has an en-suite shower room.

Immerse yourselves in your Lake District surroundings as you spend downtime out in the sunny garden. Dine on the patio, play games with the children on the lawn and soak up the scenic views. Please take care on the steps in the garden. Parking for this property is on the road, subject to availability.
